The Class of 2025 is loaded with talent all over the state of North Carolina! Let's continue to take a look at players that have the potential to break out on the recruiting scene this upcoming season.

Leo Delaney - OL - East Mecklenburg

Delaney is an All-Conference selection from a program that a lot of people don't think about from a big-time prospect perspective in Charlotte, but they have quietly been working very hard, and Delaney is a reflection of that hard work. At 6'6 and 265 pounds, he has the frame to continue to get stronger and add weight, but he is building a solid base of good fundamentals currently in a couple of different areas. He does well getting out into space and pulling and is nasty on kick-out blocks, especially in the trap and counter game. In pass protection, he shows good footwork and patience against speed rushers and can handle a direct bull rush well. He will be someone to keep an eye on as he continues to get stronger and more refined in his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='380042' first='Amareon' last='Blue'] - RB - Jordan (Durham)

My cohorts at Prep Redzone have Blue ranked very highly, and after taking a look at him, I can see why. I can see the only knock on him is his size, as he is listed at 5'8, however, one of the things I always tell young athletes is, if you are undersized, you have to be ELITE at something to get a Division 1 school's attention. Blue is definitely that, and his 1 offer from Boston College currently should grow exponentially once people see him up close during the camp season. He is an explosive running back who runs away from people in the open field. He has an excellent burst with great one-cut vision in and out of the hole. The best thing you love about him though is his excellent strength - he runs through tackles very easily and is very dangerous in the kick/punt return game also. I can see him being a very dynamic player that can move around on offense and play some slot receiver and get him involved that way as well. One of the best films I have seen this offseason.

Justin Little - QB - Independence

Of course, we have seen Little a good bit here in the 704, and his exponential growth last season has resulted in his first offer from Charlotte. He has also picked up offers from Old Dominion and Campbell. He boasts an impressive 4.2 GPA and stands at 5'11 and 175 pounds. His command of the Patriot's offense is the most impressive thing to me, they run a number of RPO's and Little does well with reads and processing where the ball should go very quickly. He is a dual-threat QB and has shown he is a real run threat, breaking multiple big runs throughout the season. But, he can really get it done from the pocket as well, completing throws all over the field with good arm strength and excellent accuracy. Two more years of him along with [player_tooltip player_id='351827' first='Zach' last='Lawrence'] at Butler, the eastside of Charlotte will continue to see some great football.

[player_tooltip player_id='516340' first='Sadat' last='Grant'] - WR - North Mecklenburg

Sadat is a player that has flashed some elite abilities while waiting his turn to break out big on the field. He has picked up his first offer from Charlotte, and he stands at 6'1 and 175 pounds. He has some excellent speed as evidenced in a play where he takes a slant vs. off-man coverage for a huge play against a good team early in the season. He can be used in the receiver run game as well, as he displays good vision consistently with the football in his hands. He also can play some defensive back and showed that he can be physical and make plays in space. He also catches the ball well with his hands and is not a body catcher. With increased opportunities this season, I expect Sadat to become one of the top playmakers in Charlotte.

DeQuadre Currence - WR - Butler

DeQuadre has drawn rave reviews from a number of people I trust with his performance through his first 2 years at Butler. They put a good bit on him in his sophomore year at receiver, and he did an excellent job running a wide variety of routes and being a major playmaker for a very good team. At 5'10 and 155 pounds they use him at both the outside and slot receiver positions. He excels in the quick screen game, using excellent agility to make defenders miss and gets upfield quickly for big gains. He plays bigger than his size and can make the big catches on the outside versus 1 on 1 coverage. He also isn't afraid to go over the middle and make the tough catches against zone coverage. As he gets stronger over the next two years, I expect interest from a recruiting standpoint to increase simply because he has great production and a knack for coming through in big situations.
