1.Lake Stevens (51-5) .910
The Vikings are consistently one of the top teams in the West, and won the state title going (12-2) on the year. That said as one can argue they’ve had better teams, losing their season opener to Garfield and getting blasted by Oregon #1 West Linn 45-6.
2.Graham-Kapowsin (51-6) .894
GK ran the table two seasons ago, finishing 15-0 and winning the state title by 40 over Lake Stevens. They also closed the year with a 40-36 win over a previously unbeaten Collins Hill HS team out of Suwanee, GA.
3.Bellevue (47-8) .854
Everyone knows that Bellevue has been a factory for years. They won the 3A state title a season ago going 14-0, before losing to eventual state champion Yelm 28-27. The only other games lost in 2022 were to 4A state champion Lake Stevens and Oregon power Central Catholic by 1.
4.Eastside Catholic (50-9) .847
Year in and year out Eastside seems to produce as much nationally ranked talent as any school in the Northwest. They came up just short, with an unreal finish and heartbreaking 20-13 loss to Yelm in the 3A title game.
5.Yelm (45-9) .833
This year’s 14-0 team was one of the best to ever come out of the state in my opinion, with Yelm’s average margin of victory being by 40 points (50-10). The season opening wins against GSHL powers Camas and Union by a combined score of 90-10 set the tone. Finishing with big wins versus nationally recognized teams like Bellevue and Eastside Catholic speaks for itself.
6.O’Dea (46-10) .821
Much like Eastside, the Fighting Irish always have a litany of nationally ranked talent. Whether we are talking about the nation’s #2 RB in Jason Brown Jason Brown 5'10" | 205 lbs | ATH ODea | 2024 State WA or one of the country’s top up and coming D lineman in FA Siale FA Siale 6'3" | 265 lbs | DL O'Dea | 2026 State WA , they are always loaded.
7.Eastlake (40-9) .816
The Wolves have been super consistent, going 23-4 the last 2.5 seasons, with two of those losses coming to Lake Stevens. They don’t traditionally produce big names from a recruiting standpoint but do win.
8.Gonzaga Prep (42-10) .807
Typically the team to beat out of Spokane. They have gone 21-4 over the last two seasons with multiple losses to Lake Stevens. They had a big-time wakeup call the 2nd game of the year losing to St Johns of Washington DC 42-14. Credit to the program for traveling to play nationally ranked competition.
9.Kennedy Catholic (41-10) .803
Another program which always has some of the top talent in WA. They lost the 4A state title game by 2 to Lake Stevens, after winning 12 straight, with a season opening loss to Eastside Catholic 26-14.
10.Kennewick (43-11) .796
The kids on the east side of the state can play some ball, but don’t always get the same recognition. Kennewick played Yelm tough, losing 36-27 in the quarterfinals this past season.
11.Puyallup (40-12) .769
12.Lincoln (39-12) .764
13.Kamiakan (38-13) .745
14.Chiawana (36-13-1) .734
15.Bothell (38-14) .730
16.Glacier Peak (32-12) .727
17.Sumner (35-14) .714
18.Camas (36-15) .705
19.Skyview (35-15) .700
20.Union (34-15) .693
