Slater is a 2024 tackle who I wasn’t familiar with but am very impressed. He has a great get off that made him stand out and his footwork is eye-catchingly smooth. He moves extremely well laterally, and has ideal balance that makes him consistent in both the pass and run game. He’s quick to his assignments and has good leverage, taking on half a man and at good angles. He can be seen on Dixon’s short run firing off quick to a textbook double-team with JoJo Matautia and his lateral movement is showcased on EJ’s throw as he protects the pocket. Slater is another name to watch out for in a deep OL class with his rare agility.
