Owatonna has always been a solid football program in the state of Minnesota, winning three Prep Bowl titles in the past six years including back-to-back years in the '17 and '18 seasons. Caledonia showed for the fourth year straight that they are the best in Double A, with the longest national winning in high school football at 54 straight games the Warriors look to extend their streak to five straight perfect seasons. Caledonia continued their high fire-power offense in 2018 averaging 35 points a game and their defense only giving up 4 points a game and pitching six shut-outs on the season. Mahnomen/Waubun won their first Class A Prep Bowl as a co-op in 2018. The Thunderbirds racked up 37 points a game on average while their defense only gave up 6 points a game throwing seven shutouts including a five game stretch where they did not allow a point.
