Miguel Botello Miguel Botello 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Muskegon | 2024 State MI | 6’4 300 | IOL | Muskegon
Miguel is finally earning some respect. A year ago, I had Miguel graded as Muskegon’s best offensive lineman, and I still hold that opinion. On film, Botello showcases dominance against great competition. Against teams like Detroit MLK, Miguel dominated the trenches in a pretty complicated offensive scheme. His ability to execute a multitude of blocks against great talent sets him apart from the rest of the class.
Sure, his film is great, but I also loved what I saw in person during last season’s state championship game. During warm-ups, Miguel was locked in, had excellent body language, and overall looked great. During the game, I saw him making pancakes, again with great body language, and his energy never wavered. I have a great understanding of Miguel, and he’s one of the best linemen in the state. The Eastern Michigan offer is well-deserved, and with a few minor improvements, he could receive many more Division 1 offers.
Parker Holman Parker Holman 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB Zeeland West | 2024 State MI | 5’7 160 | RB | Zeeland West
Holman is coming off an incredible all-state season, and that’s thanks to his speed and exceptional ability to keep his feet moving through contact. His size indicates that he’s not the biggest or strongest RB, but he’s got the heart of a lion and shocking effort. 1500 yards and 22 touchdowns is an absolutely elite statline. Expect a similarly dominant senior season from Holman as The Dux seek a state title.
Jonathan Pittman Jonathan Pittman 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Mona Shores | 2025 State MI | 6’2 210 | QB | Mona Shores
I’m incredibly interested to see how Pittman progresses this off-season. Last season, he steadily improved into a great Quarterback. Though, that also goes to say he had some bumps in the road. Against Rockford, I watched him have a solid first half before having a poor second half. Of course, it’s difficult to perform well against Rockford, but I, in general, thought Pittman was too big for that moment.
As I said, Pittman ended up performing very well down the stretch. he was able to fine-tune his reads, accuracy, and overall focus. 18-4 TD-INT Ratio is good, especially for a Sophomore QB. Pittman has a very high ceiling and a high floor as well.
Bryce Ross Bryce Ross 5'9" | 175 lbs | DB Reeths-Puffer | 2024 State MI | 5’9 175 | DB/SB | Reeths-Puffer
Ross is an incredible asset for RP on all three sides of the ball. As a defensive back (mainly Safety), he’s solid at covering the deep ball and, overall, does his job well. I’m actually pretty impressed with his performance in man or when he’s tasked with defending the run. He’s able to get off blocks fast and speed toward the ball carrier.
Offensively, Bryce serves as a great speed-in-space option. He has some great short routes on film that go for big yardage and has impressive elusiveness.
