Breakout 2025 Prospects On The Rise

The month of January has been a big one for breakout prospects across Georgia as multiple players are seeing their recruiting take off.   Which prospects in the 2025 class have seen new offers come their way? Let's take a look…     [player_tooltip player_id='321492' first='Jordan' last='Allen'] - WR - Buford   One of the fastest prospects in Georgia for the 2025 class, Allen has electric speed and playmaking ability, allowing him to see plenty of new offers come his way so far this year. A speedy athlete with versatility, Allen can make plays in multiple ways and can be a real weapon whether he's lined up on offense, defense or special teams. Playing for arguably the most talented team in the state, Allen runs a 10.9 in the 100-meter and showed that speed throughout the 2023 season as a sophomore. A shifty, slippery weapon with the ball in his hands, Allen has the potential to score from anywhere on the field. He's an exceptional return man as well who can change directions on a dime and make defenders look silly. He has easy D1-caliber speed and college coaches have come running. The Buford standout has earned new offers recently from Florida, Duke, NC State, Pittsburgh, South Florida, among others. Just a sophomore, look for Allen to have a dynamic junior season with plenty of opportunities to make plays for a Buford team with state-championship aspirations in 2023.   [player_tooltip player_id='410503' first='Emaree' last='Winston'] - TE - Calhoun   One of the top tight end prospects in Georgia, Winston did a little bit of everything for the Yellow Jackets last year as a sophomore. A big target in the passing game and a terrific blocker on the edge in thee run game, Winston has easy D1-caliber size at 6-foot-3 230-pounds. He plays like a receiver at times and shows big, strong hands along with the ability to contort his body around to make a big catch in the air. He shows great body control, can make a play in traffic, and can be a major weapon in the red-zone due to his size and dependable ball skills. Due to his size, he's also tough to bring down after the catch. If he gets the ball early, he has a chance to pick up quality yards after the catch. In the run game, the North Georgia tight end is a physical blocker and plays until the whistle. No matter what his role is, he's going to do his job and make a big impact. After a big sophomore season, Winston has picked up offers so far this year from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, South Florida, among others. Look for him to have a massive 2023 season next fall.   [player_tooltip player_id='339671' first='Justin' last='Baker'] - RB - Buford   It's not easy to replace a legend, but that's exactly what Baker will do in 2023 as he attempts to take over for current Alabama running back, [player_tooltip player_id='34011' first='Justice' last='Haynes']. At 5-foot-10 200-pounds, Baker is tough as nails and has no problem breaking tackles past the line of scrimmage. He's quick, agile, and has enough speed to fly past defenders down the field. He shows quick feet, can change directions well, and knows how to lower his shoulder and deliver a blow to defenders. He's a physical back who runs hard, and even in a reserve role last year, he did enough as a sophomore to earn offers this year from Colorado, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Michigan State, South Carolina, among others. He may not have been the lead back last year, but as a junior in 2023, Baker should see plenty of carries come his way as he attempts to lead Buford back to a championship. He's an easy D1-caliber back and could bee one of the best across Georgia this fall. Look for Baker to be one of the top-ranked 2025 backs across the South when it's all said and done.
