About Trysten
Expert Analysis
Alin Edouard | Prep Redzone Scout
Shaw is a dynamic two sport athlete at wide receiver who also stands out as a track star, and that speed shows up immediately on the football field. With offers from Baylor Bears football, Arkansas Razorbacks football, Kentucky Wildcats football, Missouri Tigers football, and Ole Miss Rebels football, it’s clear top programs value his explosive ability.
As a receiver, his biggest weapon is pure speed. He can stress defenses vertically instantly and forces safeties to back off because of how quickly he can separate once he hits open space. That track-level acceleration translates directly into game-breaking potential on deep routes and designed touches. Shaw is looking to elevate his game in 2026.

Shaw made a noticeable impact at the camp with a dynamic, physical style of play at receiver. He attacked routes with sudden bursts of speed, creating separation with sharp cuts and precise footwork. In catching drills, Shaw showed strong hands and the ability to adjust his body in tight windows, hauling in passes that were slightly off-target. During cone and agility work, he displayed fluid movement and excellent balance, quickly changing direction without losing momentum.

showed why the Bruins secured his commitment early. In Week 2, he needed just three catches to leave his mark, turning them into 108 yards and a touchdown.
Shaw is a technician as a route runner, able to create space with sharp breaks and superb body control. His hands are as reliable as they come, and when he gets the ball in space, he’s a nightmare to tackle. Shaw also brings field-stretching speed, forcing defenses to account for him at all times. He’s the type of mismatch every offensive coordinator dreams about, and he’s proving that he’s ready for the spotlight.

Trysten Shaw is another wideout that I project to pop up on everyone’s radar very soon. Coming out of the very talent Dallas Suburbs, Trysten has freak of nature athleticism that has his career trending much like his father Terrence Shaw’s career. With lighting fast times on both the 40 yard dash and the shuttle, Trysten proved that he is going to be the fastest dude on the field at all times. Trysten showcased his unbelievable ability to break in and out of routes during the drill work portion of the camp. With as smooth as he seemed to be in his routes, he seems like he would be an absolute nightmare to defend in coverage. He also proved that he is capable of catching just about every ball that is thrown his way with a phenomenal catch radius and sure hands. From everything that I saw from him in camp, Trysten is a surely going to be a game changer for Rockwall Heath at the High School level and is going to be a game changer once he hits the big stage under the lights of big time college football.
