Ja’Zir has had an excellent start to his senior season and a player who will be a rankings riser come end of year. Call it a miss by me heading into the season as well showcasing how important senior film can still be, Ja’zir has taken his game to the next level this fall.
With a prototype frame and length, he stands 6’1″+ and 190lbs of lean rocked up muscle. Ja’zir is an athlete that can make plays in all 3 phases of the game. Athletic with a smooth stride and excellent ball skills. Ja’zir offers a ton of positional versatility and playmaking ability. I can see him playing multiple spots at the next level as he continues to develop and bulk up his frame. Routinely the best player on the field in his games this season, he has developed into a clear P4 prospect. Since the beginning of this season Ja’zir has picked up offers from Wake Forest, Iowa St, Temple, UAB, and UNH. Don’t be surprised if more P4 schools start reaching out to Ja’zir as I can see being a late steal for a big time program.

Joked around with him when I first saw him that I was glad he put down the basketball for long enough to make time for a football event–but he’s that kind of athlete. Haven’t seen him live since December and he’s only gotten more exciting as a player. In my notes from December I jotted down that he was built like NBA star Kevin Durant, but Dickerson is starting to add a little thickness to his wiry frame. In this game he’ll be spending the bulk of his time as a running back but will also be split out wide as a receiver, too. The potential in both basketball and football are big time, here.

-While I don’t have any legitimate times, he looked like one of the fastest players I saw during my time at AYF Nationals
-A nice chess piece for coaches to play with. Plays with a ton of versatility and can be bumped around from Corner to Safety to Wide Receiver to Running Back
-Long and lean right now with a wiry muscular build that looks like he will be able to really pack on muscle once he gets into a high school weight room
