These future seniors have all had their fair share of success, in different ways, and we have no doubt that this next season will be any different. Before that time comes, take some time to look into each of these prospects, as their talent certainly warrants that, as well as some additional attention.
Luke Kromenhoek Luke Kromenhoek 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Benedictine Military | 2024 State GA – Benedictine
Kromenhoek, who is a 2024 prospect, managed to show out in his Junior season, passing for over 2,500 yards, with 24 TD’s. In addition to this, he averaged around 171 yards a game, and only threw 3 interceptions all season long, proving how efficient of a player he was for his team. This kind of leadership is what helped his team to accomplish a 13-2 record by the end of the season, with a state championship that they could call their own. Next year, for his senior season, it will be fun to see how far he can take his team, and if it will be possible for him to replicate similar success by playing at the same consistency, and high level of play.
Prentiss Noland Prentiss Noland 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Langston Hughes | 2024 State GA – Langston Hughes
Noland, as many people already know, brought Langston Hughes to the promised land this past season, as he not only led them to a 15-0 record, but to a state championship win. This win was not only big for the school, but for his legacy, as he is very much picking up steam in the recruiting game, as top tier programs are beginning to take notice of him, and extending offers as well. This past season, to gain this recognition and respect, Noland’s play was as good as you could have imagined. He threw for over 4,000 yards, 55 TD’s, and averaged around 273 yards a game. In addition to this, he also only threw 4 interceptions all season long, proving that solid decision making is a key part of his game.
Jake Merklinger Jake Merklinger 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Calvary Day | 2024 State GA – Calvary Day
As we have discussed before, Merklinger has continued to rise as one of the most talented QB’s in the state of GA for the 2024 class, and his performance in 2022 was nothing short of that fact. This past season, Merklinger passed for over 1,900 yards, with an average of 165 yards a game. To add to this, he also passed for 32 TD’S, to only 2 interceptions, proving that he can handle the pressure to make good decisions, and to take care of the football. This next season, we look forward to seeing his continued growth, and how he will be able to channel his early success into greatness, and great options to play football at the next level. Currently, he sits with 27 offers, and a majority of them come from top schools.
Judd Anderson Judd Anderson 6'6" | 215 lbs | QB Jones County | 2024 State GA – Jones County
In a season where the Greyhounds undoubtedly would have liked to have had more success, Anderson still did his part to help his team win 6 games, including 4 in their region, which was enough to lead his team to the playoffs. Throughout the season, while Anderson may not be the top QB in the state, he showed why he is a valuable and talented prospect nonetheless. By the end of the year, he passed for over 1,700 yards, 15 TD’s, while averaging around 161 yards a game. The biggest part of his game that we would like to see improve next season would be his amount of turnovers, and the way he protects the ball. As talented of a player as he is, this will always hold him back from his full potential if he is not able to clean this up. Next season, we look forward to seeing him be able to do so.
Bryce Clavon Bryce Clavon 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Kell | 2024 State GA – Kell
Kell, which has been known to produce great players, were led by a great 2024 QB this season, as Bryce Clavon Bryce Clavon 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Kell | 2024 State GA performed at a high level, and seemingly productive rate all season long. He not only played well within the scheme, but he showed that he can pass for a high volume of yards, which was over 2,600, and that throwing 24 TD’s, was not too much for him. In addition to this, he also averaged around 222 yards a game, and completed 160 of his 236 passes, proving that he alone can offer great balance to his team’s game.
