Sampson, one of the top QBs in the class of 2025 showed out during Week 5 beating the Woodbury Royals 50-7. Through the air on only 14 attempts, he had 3 TDs and 134 yards. He also added a TD on the ground. The Winona State commit has been solid throughout his senior year and looks like a great snag by the Warriors.

– a 6’3, 190 lber. – came into the South Dakota State prospect camp in early June and earned a DII offer from the awesome staff at Winona State, catapulting him into the DII recruiting sphere and bumping his stock up in the state’s 2025 recruiting big board. I saw Sampson live last fall against STMA, where his overall athleticism, especially when extending plays or toting the rock and using his quick feet and sudden COD ability to make defenders miss, really caught my attention at 6’3, 190 pounds. I liked his arm too, but Sampson didn’t get to really open things up that cold, windy night in St. Michael, so I can’t say I got the complete picture of his game. However, the Winona State staff got a hard look at him throwing a ton of balls during the SDSU camp, and I dang sure trust their evaluation and his potential fit to the DII level. To solidify things, Minnesota State-Mankato offered last week, as did WIAC heavyweight UW-River Falls. Going to be a big year for Sampson and his Mustang counterparts, another of which we’ll be breaking down below.
