<p>Some might have thought the Montezuma offense would skip a beat with the loss of a superstar, but [player_tooltip player_id='320596' first='Owen' last='Cook'] stepped right in and led the way with almost 50 scores in the air. </p>

<p>Mason Dicks of Newell-Fonda had another incredibly accurate season, while Cael Ortmann of Remsen St. Mary's got his team to the state title and impressed.</p>

<p><strong>First Team - Cael Ortmann - Remsen St. Mary's - Senior</strong></p>

<p>It was a perfect season and a perfect cap to an incredible career, as Cael Ortmann led Remsen St. Mary's to a state championship. The senior gunslinger completed a mind-boggling 79 percent of his passes - 105 of 133 - for 1,902 yards and 33 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He also ran for another 803 yards with 16 scores. </p>

<p><strong>Second Team - Mason Dicks - Newell-Fonda - Senior</strong></p>

<p>After a breakout junior season, Newell-Fonda's Mason Dicks did it again this past year. The senior threw for over 1,700 yards with 23 touchdowns and just two interceptions among his 164 attempts, while also running for 890 yards and 14 scores. HIs production helped the Mustangs reach the state semifinals and the UNI-Dome. </p>

<p><strong>Third Team - [player_tooltip player_id='320596' first='Owen' last='Cook'] - Montezuma - Senior</strong></p>

<p>With 58 total touchdowns and over 2,800 yards of offense, [player_tooltip player_id='320596' first='Owen' last='Cook'] from Montezuma shined bright. Cook had 47 passing scores and 2,557 yards, rushing for another 390 and 11 scores. </p>

<p><strong>Honorable Mention</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='156643' first='Shane' last='Helmick'] of Moraiva, Brodyn Pryor from Woodbine, Beau Goodwin of Kingsley-Pierson, Ty Hysell from Mormon Trail and [player_tooltip player_id='156459' first='Isaac' last='Clark'] of Gladbrook-Reinbeck all had over 30 passing TDs. Bryor, just a freshman, ranked third in the classification in passing yards. Helmick, Goodwin and Clark will all be back next year.</p>
