26.[player_tooltip player_id='511299' first='Roman' last='Martin'] 6-2 170 DB Tigard

SEASON UPDATE: Easily one of the state's fastest rising prospects. Martin is a very versatile 6-2, racking up 2nd team all TRL honors from his CB position and honorable mention accolades at WR. He could be a top 10-15 recruit before he is done.

27.[player_tooltip player_id='207256' first='Tyler' last='Konold'] 6-0 195 ATH Canby- One of the leading candidates for Oregon 5A POY honors heading into the fall. He went off as a sophomore, averaging 11.5 yards per carry (1,412 yards/ 123 carries) and earning 1st team all-state honors. As good as he is on offense, he could very well play D at the next level.

SEASON UPDATE: Konold was injured a majority of the season but still projects as one of the top backs in the state and a 5A POY candidate. If healthy look for him to be a 2000+ yard rusher his senior season.

28.[player_tooltip player_id='278405' first='Clay' last='Martineau'] 6-3 210 LB Oregon City

29.[player_tooltip player_id='278371' first='Ryder' last='Swanson'] 6-1 220 OLB Oregon City- Not a lot of people know about him yet but they will. Swanson was impressive coming off the edge as a sophomore, earning 2nd team all TRL honors. The Pioneers could be the state's surprise team.

SEASON UPDATE: Swanson impressed on the camp circuit over the off season and earned 2nd team all TRL honors for the second year in a row. Look for him and OC to be talked about often in 2023.

30.[player_tooltip player_id='152353' first='Caden' last='Negra'] 6-3 175 WR Ashland- Negra started as a freshman and had an outstanding off season on the camp circuit. The Grizzlies went winless in 2021 but have one of the best QB/WR tandems in Oregon at the 5A level ([player_tooltip player_id='285886' first='JoJo' last='Harrower']).

SEASON UPDATE: Look for Negra to have a big off season and a good senior year. The Grizzlies have struggled going (2-14) the last two seasons, but Negra is legit and brings a lot to the table.

31 [player_tooltip player_id='343699' first='Brian' last='Smith'] 6-3 215 TE/DE Tigard- Really like this kid. Smith could climb this list quickly as he has legit size and speed and can play multiple spots on the field.

SEASON UPDATE: If we are projecting a breakout player of the year next season, Smith could very well be it. He has the size and overall athleticism to be a legit recruit, earning honorable mention all TRL honors on D.

32.[player_tooltip player_id='278385' first='Nick' last='Sakys'] 6-2 210 QB West Linn-Sakys jumped almost 10 spots after hitting on 68% of his passes (32/47) with 5 TDs, in limited time as a sophomore. Even with Leavitt transferring in he should be considered one of the top QBs in Oregon.

SEASON UPDATE: The Lions are in good shape. Sakys returns as one of the top QBs in the state for the class, waiting patiently behind Washington St commit Leavitt. Look for him to be a state statistical leader as a senior.

33.[player_tooltip player_id='511294' first='David' last='Hernandez'] 6-6 305 T Beaverton

SEASON UPDATE: Hernandez made the move from Tigard and did a good job for a (1-8) Beaverton team. His combination of size and overall versatility (defense) is impressive.

SEASON UPDATE: One of the biggest disrupters state wide. He is a matchup night mare for most lineman due to his size and strength. On the year he earned 1st team all-conference honors, finishing in the top 10 in sacks at the 6A level.

35.[player_tooltip player_id='278374' first='Blake' last='Hurley'] 6-2 195 ATH Sunset- The only sophomore in the Metro League to earn all-conference honors, other than [player_tooltip player_id='152334' first='Jace' last='Burton'] & [player_tooltip player_id='152335' first='Liam' last='Cassidy']. Hurley comes from a talented family and looked great over the off season.

SEASON UPDATE: The level is yet to be determined but Hurley will be a good college football player. He was one of the top DBs in the Metro, making 61 total tackles with 3 PBUs and a fumble recovery, while earning 2nd team all-conference honors. Offensively he caught 23 passes for 292 yards and 2 TDs.

37.[player_tooltip player_id='152328' first='TC' last='Manumaleuna II'] 6-1 195 QB/ATH North Salem (OFFERS: Oregon, Miami, Florida St, Louisville ) TC will get his shot to prove himself in the 6A Central Valley Conference. He has skill guys all around him so opportunities should be plentiful from a statistical standpoint.

SEASON UPDATE: Just a great kid and super talented overall athlete. With North's run oriented system, he only passed a few times each game, so it's hard to know what he is capable of. It will be a telling off season.

38.[player_tooltip player_id='130391' first='Parker' last='Williams'] 5-10 170 ATH South Salem

SEASON UPDATE: One of Oregon's breakout underclassmen. Williams had 57 total tackles, with 14 PBUs and 1 INT, racking up 2nd team all-conference honors.

39.[player_tooltip player_id='383829' first='Pierce' last='Walker'] 5-10 170 ATH North Salem

40.[player_tooltip player_id='278444' first='Andy' last='Soles'] 6-2 215 LB Canby- I would expect Soles to be a 5A conference and state POY candidate in the years ahead. He should double his stat line (33 tackles) from a year ago as the Cougars are one of the fastest rising programs in the state.

SEASON UPDATE: The Cougars didnt have the season they wanted to finishing (5-5) but they were young. Soles and Konold will project as 5A 1st team all state guys next year, finishing the season with 55 tackles and 4 tackles for loss.

41.[player_tooltip player_id='278414' first='Tyson' last='Hunt'] 6-4 215 DE/TE Tualatin- Hunt didn't play much as a Sophomore but has great size and should get in the mix on both sides of the football. He's definitely an appealing two-way threat.

SEASON UPDATE: Hunt proved himself on both sides of the football, earning honorable mention all TRL accolades. Over the last two years he has learned a great deal from teammates, and fellow big men, [player_tooltip player_id='147240' first='Richie' last='Anderson'], Kellen Hale, and Peter Burke.

SEASON UPDATE: Mahlum comes from a football family and has the potential to blow up with continued progression. He is a well rounded athlete as noted by his kicking ability.

43.[player_tooltip player_id='152351' first='Jaylan' last='Moore'] 5-9 160 CB Sherwood- The 3* DB has garnered praise from many across the state. It was a good move, making the transfer to Sherwood, after earning honorable mention all PIL honors at Jeff as a Sophomore.

SEASON UPDATE: Moore did well against better competition, and was a big reason the Bowmen won another conference title. He will be one to watch over the off season on the 7v7 circuit.

SEASON UPDATE: Womack led the conference in INTs and finished tied for 2nd at the 6A level with 5 picks. Look for him to be one of the MHC's best offensively next season with top QB [player_tooltip player_id='285852' first='Avirey' last='Durdahl'] distributing the ball. He earned all-conference honors on both sides of the football in 22'.

45.[player_tooltip player_id='511788' first='Tobia' last='Tagliabue'] 6-2 220 LB Lake Oswego

SEASON UPDATE: You will hear a lot about Tagliabue in the future as the Lakers were young this season. He stepped up big, earning 1st team all TRL accolades against the state's best.

46.[player_tooltip player_id='278376' first='Connor' last='Cesaro'] 6-3 190 WR- Cesaro should be a primary target along with the 4* Pugliano, presenting matchup problems for all with their size. He will have big shoes to fill with the graduation of Bryce Dyer.
