Moving on to the defensive backs, I have the 3A co-leader in interceptions, Trevor Beam Trevor Beam 5'9" | 145 lbs | DB Anderson County | 2023 State KY . Beam finished his final regular season with seven interceptions, along with 31 total tackles and two tackles for loss. He showed great man coverage ability this year, showing the ability to open up and run with receivers to mirror their routes. When the ball was thrown his way, he did a great job of getting his head turned at the right moment to make a play on the ball. He also showed the ball skills to catch interceptions at their highest point. After the catch, Beam showed the ability to turn the interception into a big play the other way, returning one for a touchdown this year. Beam also finished the season as Nelson County’s number two receiver but I believe that he looked his best on defense. Trevor doesn’t currently hold any offers but I believe he deserves some attention from college coaches as he has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
