is just one of the good running backs out of the many in this system. Foster is set for a massive senior season and will have the chance to put this team on his back yet again, after doing so last season with the Valdosta program. Their identity was running the ball, and they will likely have the same identity and mindset in this one. Keep an eye out for the talented running back with blazing speed and unbelievable footwork. Foster is set for a massive season, to say the least.

Foster is actually a pretty similar player to Fennell. Both are smaller, versatile scat backs who make plays both as a rusher and as a receiver. Foster has a little more burst than his counterpart, Fennell, using his foot speed and twitch to maneuver around contact and create his own yards. He has the burst and speed in the open field to lift off and separate. Both Fennell and Foster are two of the most dynamic playmakers in the state, and both of them are on the same team.

A shifty, elusive back with quick feet out of South Georgia, Foster may be on the smaller side, but he runs hard, and while his speed and quickness stand out first, Foster is a tough runner who has no problem lowering his shoulder into a defender. He runs with impressive balance, burst, and the ability to score on any particular play. This productive Valdosta back shared the load with two other fantastic runners, but still made a big impact as a sophomore last fall, rushing for 629 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s one of the top returning backs in the area and picked up first first SEC offer this week from Vanderbilt.

Foster was the most productive freshman back in Georgia this year and flashed every down potential. He is smaller and wiry at this stage of development, which is to be expected. He still offers good running ability between the tackles, weaving his way in and out of running lanes and cutting back across the face of defenders to build separation. As he continues to develop and opens up his stride more, he will unlock that extra gear of speed that he needs to really tie everything together. Still, his feel for the game, vision, and production this past fall can’t go unnoticed.

is another running back to take note of in the class of 2027. We originally covered the Peach State running back back in October and have been watching him since. Hailing from Valdosta, Georgia, which is known as TitleTown, USA after a Netflix Docuseries highlighted the town and football program, Deron stands 5’9 and can pack a punch with the ball in his hands. He is noticeably shifty with the ball in his hands and can make it almost impossible for anyone to tackle him. Another aspect of his game that makes him elite is his breakaway speed. If any defense gives him a few feet of open grass, he can make them pay and break off a huge run. Deron also seems to just bounce off defenders with ease, highlighting his agility and balance. With his low pad level and unassuming body strength, he doesn’t go down easy. Deron is one of the more intriguing backs I have had a chance to evaluate so far in this class. If he keeps up his production and packs on the pounds/muscle, the state of Georgia will have yet another future D1 Running Back.

Dereon is a running back coming out of the state of Georgia that has people in Valdosta very excited. The first thing that jumped out to me when watching his film is ability to improvise on the run. As the blocks develop in front of Dereon, he has the vision and in the instinct to make crisp cuts as he works through the line of scrimmage. Despite being a shorter, smaller back, another aspect of Dereon’s game that is impressive is the physicality he plays with as he runs the ball. When he is toting the rock, he has no problem dropping a shoulder and running through defenders as he makes his way to the end zone. Just from the film that I have seen, Dereon proves to be a complete package coming out of the backfield and can stay on the field in almost every offensive situation. He recently capped off his middle school career by helping Valdosta to their third straight league championship and finishing undefeated.
