Preview: Coconino @ Apache Junction

<!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Apache Junction</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Apache Junction enters the contest 3-0 with wins over Estrella Foothills, San Tan Foothills, and Combs. Their offense has been the story of their season, as they've put up 155 points in 3 games. Super explosive offense that has proven they can pretty much score on command thus far, and dual threat QB [player_tooltip player_id='110115' first='Gavin' last='Limongello'] is a massive reason why they are finding so much success early on here this fall. He's a very dynamic player all around with the potential to play multiple spots at the next level. When your best athlete has the ball in his hands every play, good things happen. AJHS is a huge contender in 4A and should definitely be in the top 4 seedings come playoff time as long as they continue along the same trajectory. Talent wise, Coconino is easily a playoff calibur team in 4A ball. Their current 1-2 record could easily be 3-0, as their two losses come to some 4A contenders which includes a 28-29 loss vs Poston Butte last week and a 21-27 loss at Arcadia the week before. Their win was a blowout 62-6 one sided game vs a 3A contender Blue Ridge. Their defense is going to be tested big this week, as they'll need BYU commit [player_tooltip player_id='165907' first='Pierson' last='Watson'] to have a monster game and contain Limongello if they want to have a shot to contend with this AJHS offense. Offensively, they'll need to lean on the younger brother of Pierson, [player_tooltip player_id='115518' first='Enoch' last='Watson'] to control and manage that Coco offense. RB Cooper French comes off a monster game last week in the loss by rushing for 254 yards and 3 TD's on 28 carries.
