Nonetheless, it is that time of the year for film to go out. A mid-season film that shows promise can help you get on the radio. Here are some mid-season films I have been impressed with.
Emile Picarella, St Joe, QB, 2025
Emile Picarella is doing everything right when you watch his film. This kid knows how to throw the football and his mechanics are superb. He does everything right and he always gets the football to his receivers on time. He has a thousand all purpose yards in four games. I think Picarella will throw for three thousand yards this season.
Will Smith Will Smith 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Ocean Springs | 2025 State MS , RB, Ocean Springs, 2025
Will Smith Will Smith 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Ocean Springs | 2025 State MS has been amazing coming out of the backfield. This guy is blazing fast and his highlights look very good. The way he turns the corner is phenomenal. He has great speed and his recruiting process should blow up this fall.
Andrew Maddox Andrew Maddox 6'5" | 280 lbs | DL Oak Grove | 2025 State MS , DL, Oak Grove, 2025
Andrew Maddox Andrew Maddox 6'5" | 280 lbs | DL Oak Grove | 2025 State MS knows how to play his position. He can move and he has the length to keep opponents off of his body. He is also a very disciplined defensive lineman. He knows his assignments and he executes every time that he touches the field.
Jahmani Washington Jahmani Washington 6'2" | 195 lbs | LB Grenada | 2025 State MS , OLB, Grenada, 2025
Washington has a long lanky frame that is going to continue to develop. He is a player that can cover as well as come up and make good hits. I love how he closes on plays. He has been in the right position a lot of times when he has been covering. If he can capitalize on his opportunities and cut back on the dropped interceptions he will definitely see his stock start to rise.
Hayes Caperton, OL, Winston Academy, 2025
Hayes Caperton is a mean guy on the offensive line. He gets off the ball very well and knows how to handles his opponents. He has a big frame at 6-3 295 and knows how to get to the next level. He is a home run hitter in baseball who also excels when he is on the mound.
