We are officially past the halfway point of the Wisconsin HS football season! This have been very exciting the first five weeks. We have seen huge individual performances, dominant team performances, clutch plays, upsets, and so much more. Today, I want to take a look back at Week 5 and breakdown 9 individual performances that really caught my eye with their numbers, and their highlights. There is representation from the senior, junior, and sophomore level, as well as athletes who play QB, RB, WR, and OL. Let's get into this talented group!

He has amassed nearly 400 yards of total offense along with 6 total TDs.rnrnAfter watching through the highlights from Week 5 it is clear that Bradley is working himself into the type of athlete who can make an impact at the next level as a change of pace or third down back. He thrives out in space, and it positions where he can use his burst and quickness. Between the tackles Jacobson has multiple examples this week of his ability to burst through tight running lanes before they close. Outside the tackles, Bradley has the speed to maximize the green grass in front of him. The athletic traits have also made him a 30.3 yards per return punt returner. His 9.8 yards per carry was his highest of the season.rnrnAlexander has next level speed with a reported 4.63 40 yard dash. That speed allowed him to make several big runs on Friday night. His speed is accentuated by strong instincts and vision. The cutback lanes, and running lanes he saw and got to impressed me on multiple plays from his highlights. Wraalstad didn't just try to win with his athleticism, though. He is a patient runner who let his blocks get ahead of him and made so he could utilize them to gain as many yards as possible before contact. He runs a reported 4.66 40 time, and it translates. John is a problem outside the pocket, and when he gets green grass the defense will suffer. As a passer, the senior relies on his quick release, spot on accuracy, and touch. Instead of forcing it through tight windows, John's game focuses on putting the ball in spots where his guy can run underneath it or where only his guy can go get it. The 6' 170 lbs senior has something that we don't often see. Highlights of his willingness, and effectiveness as a downfield blocker. Jonathan is great at sticking his block downfield, and giving his teammates room to work. As a receiver, Jonathan is a smooth route runner who can get out of his breaks at top speed, and uses head fakes effectively. His compact, strong frame is also very difficult to bring down. He has a low center of gravity, and good contact balance. He made throws between levels of defenders that you don't often see at this level. That accuracy comes from quick feet that are connected to his eyes. He is light on his feet, and moves well inside the pocket. Lindahl has a great grasp of the offense, and that allows him to be decisive in his reads and targets.
