Curtez Hill Curtez Hill 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Holmes | 2023 State KY caught my attention this off-season and continued to jump out to me during his senior year. Hill had a very impressive final season, running the ball 158 times for 1,467 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has tremendous vision, finding the running lane and coming downhill in a hurry once it opens. Once he bursts through the lane, Hill has the breakaway speed to simply run away from the defense in the open field. He also has the ability to make cuts to make defenders miss. Hill also caught three passes for 56 yards and was electric on special team, returning two kickoffs and one punt for touchdowns. Curtez is committed to Eastern Kentucky where I could see him developing into a solid running back down the road.

Cortez is a multi-threat tailback that can break out onto the open field with his electrifying speed, and can outmaneuver tackles with his quick & shifty footwork. The senior out of Holmes High School currently leads the state class 4A in rushing yards per carrying at around 12. Once Cortez accelerates to his prime speed, it is nearly impossible for anyone to hit him as he is too quick. He also possesses lots of strength when carrying the football as he can break off multiple tackles frequently. I am surprised this young man is not talked about as often. However, I expect interest to rise for him near the end of the season.

Hill has blazing speed in the open field which helps him to pick up big gains on a consistent basis. He is very dangerous once he gets around the edge but he can also hit the hole hard between the tackles and run away from the defense. Hill also has the elusiveness to make defenders miss and has shown the ability to break tackles in the open field. Hill currently holds an offer from Thomas More but more coaches should have him on their radar as he has the skill set to play at the next level.
