Plumb is a plus athlete that goes 6’4″ 215 pounds. Projects best as a linebacker at the next level. Really settled into that role as a junior. Knifes through the line of scrimmage making plays in the backfield for TFL’s. Vicious hitter that diagnoses plays. Fills in the hole and can take on blocks before making the tackle.

Matthew has an excellent set of traits for the QB position. He has the prototypical size at 6’4″ 210 lbs to hold up against the wear and tear of the position. He has quick footwork and his whole body snaps through to get behind the ball when he wants to put it on a rope to any level of the field. The ball jumps out of his hand after a quick release. The ball very consistently finds its mark, right in stride of the receiver. Matthew is also a very quick and confident decision maker. Big things are ahead for the quickly developing 2026.

brings a solid 6’2, 190 lb. frame to the table, as well as a wrestling background that saw him qualify for freshman/sophomore state this past March. I like that combo, and it’s particularly rare at the QB position, and compared to his peers he’s received a ton of offseason camp invites from the likes of Bowling Green State, Central Michigan, Montana State, Cincinnati, UPenn, Miami (OH), and Furman, so college programs want to see this kid in-person and Plumb is set to be a busy traveler this summer. , who holds offers from Miami (OH), Iowa State, and Purdue, Matthew has a big arm that can sling the ball downfield with the flick of his wrist and whip the ball back across his body with ease, and I love his touch on downfield passes as well as the velocity he can generate on shorter/intermediate passes. Plumb looks accurate, able to read the field well and get the ball out of his hand quickly, and has a lean frame at 190 lbs. that is sure to benefit and blow up with a few more years in a high school S&C program. The Plumb boys can sling it.
