Here is a quick look at some of the prospects moving up in this rankings update:
Simms, an explosive 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver, is a prospect we expect to have a breakout season for reigning Missouri Class 6 champion CBC. Simms has good bloodlines. His father was a standout basketball player at Normandy who went on to play at the University of Nebraska. The younger Simms will be a Division I football player. He picked up his first scholarship offer, from hometown Missouri, this summer.

Pearsall is an impressive linebacker prospect with good size who has already garnered interest (and scholarship offers) from several colleges. Nebraska and Missouri were the first schools to extend offers, but they certainly won’t be the last. Look for Pearsall to have a breakout sophomore season on a loaded Lee’s Summit North squad that will challenge for a state championship.
The competition for the top spot among Class of 2025 quarterbacks is tough and the quality of prospects is growing deeper, especially after the transfer of Carson Boyd Carson Boyd 5’11” | 185 lbs | QB Cardinal Ritter | 2025 State MO from Illinois (East St. Louis) to Missouri (Cardinal Ritter), but we’re going with Duff in this rankings update after a strong offseason where he impressed at every turn. He has good size (6-1, 180), athleticism and a strong arm and his early success at the varsity level as a basketball player adds to the total package. Duff is expected to back up De Smet senior starter Chris Cotton Chris Cotton 5’11” | 190 lbs | QB De Smet | 2023 State MO this fall, but will get experience to be ready to take over as the starter a year from now.

Fitzmaurice is a player who got bigger and stronger this offseason while also improving his testing numbers in the camps and combines we saw him at. He’s probably more likely to play offensive line than defensive line this season, but with his size (6-3, 250) and athletic profile we like him better as a defensive prospect in the future.
