Some players are still searching for the right offer and in some cases any offer. Those players may use the fall season for one last audition to college coaches to try and get more offers to make the best possible decision on where they will continue their careers. With the season around the corner these are the top uncommited players to watch in NYC this fall.
Messiah Burch Messiah Burch 5’10” | 170 lbs | RB Monsignor Farrell | 2023 State NY out of Monsignor Farrell in Staten Island is not only one of the best uncommitted players in the five boroughs but one of the best players overall. Burch averaged an incredible 12.9 yards per carry in his Junior Season. Burch is a big play threat with elite breakaway speed. Burch may not have the power or ideal size but he makes up for it with incredible patience and acceleration through the hole. He does not get caught up with making defenders miss and is one of the most direct backs in the entire state. His ability and understanding to go north and south while pateintly allowing holes to open as play develops is much further along than you would expect from a high school back. Burch was able to showcase his skills regularly as the top back in a committee of running backs at Monsignor Farrell. Mosignor Farrell had four players all register at least 49 carries last season led by Burch with 78. The three backs who were alongside Burch all graduated last year so expect Burch to have one of the best running back seasons you will see in the entire state of New York. Still uncommitted Burch is sitting on 23 division I offers with notable programs such as Temple, Army, Navy, and Buffalo. With a big season Burch could welcome even more division I programs into his recruitment and potentially some Power 5 schools that are looking to add speed in the backfield.

Seth Ulett Seth Ulett 6’1″ | 285 lbs | OL Erasmus Hall | 2023 State NY is the best offensive lineman on a stacked Erasmus Hall team headed into the 2022 season. A fantastic combination of quickness and strength Ulett will continue dominating smaller opposition this fall. Although there was not much film on his pass protection available what I did see I really liked. Ulett is quick to attack with his hands and shows solid footwork throughout his reps. Ulett is a tad undersized for the division I level hence most of the recruiting interest in him being at the division II and FCS programs. A current tackle for Erasmus Hall Ulett could face a move inside at the next level. I actually think that with a dominant season Ulett could garner some FBS looks if teams see him moving inside. Ulett moves really well and does show really good strength for a player that is sub-300 pounds. Some teams could potentially see him being a really versatile and athletic interior lineman at the next level.

Elijah Daniels Elijah Daniels 6’3″ | 185 lbs | WR Curtis | 2023 State NY has elite length for the receiver position. While he showed on film some really solid ball skills and ability to make big plays his senior season is all about consistency and taking his game to the next level. Daniels is a strong athlete and made some really good plays for Curtis High School. Headed into this fall Daniels can really make some noise and generate some opportunities at the next level. improvements in his route running and increased targets will give him more chances to showcase what he can do. While Daniels size is a huge advantage at the high school level if he can become just a little more consistent I really like his potential. Daniels is one of those players who at the current moment may not be one of the top prospects in the city I really like his ceiling as a prospect. No offers for Daniels have been publicized meaning he has some work to do this fall. However, with the right opportunities for Daniels big play ability and highlight catches to shine he could be the one players that local division I college coaches regret not recruiting.

Precious Ekeh Precious Ekeh 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Canarsie | 2023 State NY is one of the most dominant big guys in the entire city. After playing last season for Elmont he will play his final high school year for Canarsie in Brooklyn. This move will potentially get some new recruiting eyes on Ekeh. He already holds some offers from northeast programs such as Syracuse, Buffalo, and UCONN. Ekeh definitely projects as an offensive lineman at the next level although he has had success on both sides of the ball. His ceiling as a blocker is really high and his strength is evident in the film. Ekeh is a mauler and easily one of the most effective lineman in New York City. Ekeh also moves really well for a lineman. He routinely showed on film he can work extremely well in open space. Ekeh has the skills to garner some more attention from division I schools. With an offer from the ACC already I think that Ekeh might find some more interest from that conference with a strong senior season.
Although Miles Mcgoy Miles Mcgoy 6’2″ | 160 lbs | DB Curtis | 2023 State NY is only ranked 78th in New York State by Prep Network he could be one of the biggest risers this fall. One of the most exciting highlight players to watch Mcgoy is a true athlete who succeeds on both sides of the ball for Curtis High School in Staten Island. With an ideal frame Mcgoy already has the size you like to see for the next level. A lot of his film showed that not only does he have the size but he knows how to use it. A consistent threat in the air both as a corner and wide receiver and ball in the air likely comes down in Mcgoys hands. He shows solid coverage skills as a defensive back and the ability to make open field tackles. I am very intrigued for Mcgoy’s senior season. I think that he is easily the best uncommitted receiver/corner in this class. Mcgoy holds offers from multiple schools headed by New Hampshire, Maine, and UMASS. At the next level Mcgoy has the skills to play either offense or defense but I think that he easily could find more success as a cornerback. Cornerbacks are much harder for college teams to find than receivers. With his size and ball skills Mcgoy could really garner some solid division I looks if he has a strong defensive season. Teams know he can make plays but finding that consistency on defense will really help Mcgoy shine through with recruiters.
