Flashed advanced route running with a good drive phase out of his stance, excellent use of stems/nods to sell his routes, and a good ability to attack the DB’s blind spot. He was quick in and out of his breaks and showed good burst at the top of his routes to create separation. Strong at the catch point, he’s a natural pass catcher that can track/adjust to ball flight and make tough contested receptions in traffic. In one on one’s, he showed a great release move off the LOS avoiding contact and using his hands efficiently to maintain separation and get into his route. He was also one of the top overall testers on the day with a 4.63 40, 4.43 shuttle, 11 foot broad jump, and a 6.41 L drill. Matt Goodin, 2024, San Marin Goodin showed off his strong technical route running throughout the day. He was a tough cover in the competition phase with his ability to sell his routes and use a variety of stems/nods at the top to create separation. He does a great job setting up positional leverage and opening up throwing lanes to make himself a target. Good hands and tracking ability, he’s smooth at the catch point and sees the ball all the way into the tuck. On film, he’s able to use his route running and speed to stretch the field vertically and be an explosive deep threat. Possesses good straight line speed and has a strong second gear that he’s able to sustain and run by coverage. He’ll be a big part of the state champion San Marin team on both sides of the ball over the next few years. [player_tooltip player_id="333446" first="Elijah" last="Huddle"], 2025, Casa Roble Entering his sophomore year, Huddle already possesses ideal length and frame for a college level WR prospect at 6’2” 185 lbs. He’s a physical receiver that proved he can be an effective route runner and create separation at all three levels. He’s got good long speed and showed a good ability to beat both press and off coverage with quick/clean release moves. He’s strong at the catch point, flashing the ability to fight through contact and extend out to bring in contested catches. Like his coordination and body control to track the deep ball and attack it at the highest point using his length to his advantage. His film shows he can be a playmaker after the catch by quickly getting north/south and breaking tackles with good contact balance and leg drive. Love his upside and potential as he continues to develop as a route runner. He’ll be an impact player at Casa Roble over the next several seasons. [player_tooltip player_id="270863" first="Colin" last="Dickson"], TE, 2023, Wasco The big 6’5” 220 lb. TE out of Wasco has been making his rounds at camps/showcases this offseason and continually being a top performer at his position. At his size and length, he’s a natural pass catcher with a huge catch radius, great ability to extend and make catches outside his framework. He competes for every ball at the high point and uses his hand-eye coordination to go over the top of defenders and pluck balls out of the air, he made several impressive one handed contested catches in the competition phase. He’s a physical route runner that uses his size to his advantage by clearing out space and boxing out defenders at the catch point. Not just a short/intermediate target, he shows he can use his speed to stretch the field vertically and be a great jump ball receiver in the open field and redzone. Strong all around skillset that is worthy of more recruiting attention going into his senior year.
