AJ is most definitely an impact player! Mascoutah is lucky to have a kid like AJ on their roster, he causes havoc in the defensive secondary. He helped his team compete throughout the season which resulted in a phenomenal run to get the semifinals. AJ says that he has a lot more to prove to himself and scouts. He has focused on his footwork to perfect his routes, getting in and out of breaks, and stronger hands. AJ aspires to be more of a deep threat next season and is expected to have a BIG YEAR, he says Scouts need to keep their eyes open for him!
Sam Yager

Sam competes at the highest level he can every time he laces up his cleats. He will do anything to get the job done classifying himself as a relentless workhorse. The difference between Sam and other players is his grit! If he gets knocked down the first time you better believe he won’t the second time. Along with his skills, Sam while be bringing his servant leadership qualities to the college program that he decides to attend. He has a lot of experience holding that leadership position and embraces it. Sam has set a goal to get quicker and faster as he has always been identified as a power runner. He wants to be able to be more versatile in the backfield and instead of being more of a power back for those short yard gains, he is determined to turn them into huge breakaway plays. Sam refuses to stop working on his craft until he sees constant improvements & can’t wait to reach the next level to continue to improve his game.
Grant Thuer

Football has been an escape for Grant Thuer. He used football early on to take out his frustration then it became a hobby, now it is his lifestyle. Grant gets “withdrawals” if he doesn’t get to hit anyone for an extended amount of time. Grant can and is willing to play anywhere on the football field. He has played DT, DE, RB, FB, LB. He is a fearless competitor as he played last season with a torn labrum. Grant idolizes old school football and the level of toughness that those players showed back then. His game mimics a lot of that old school football. Grant is willing to put his body on the line for his team and coaches. Grant is extremely coachable, and willing to run through a wall, nothing will stop him from doing anything on the football field. Grant Thuer is a hard nose football player who is a highly overlooked baller. When Grant steps on his campus of choice he wants to put fear into the eyes of upperclassmen when competing for the job. Grant doesn’t play around on the field, he is a straight forward player who is passionate about the game of football!

Junior Kuron Parchmon will be on a lot of scouts radar this year as he was awarded 1st Team All-Conference Wide Receiver & 2nd Team All-Conference Defensive Back. Parchmon had a breakout sophomore season at the Varsity level and is projected to increase his performance next season. Parchmon has sure hands, great speed, and is a very agile player. Parchmon made a lot of big time plays for the Bethalto offense last year. Parchmon is excellent at going up and over a defenders to catch the ball. He never waits for the ball to come to him. Once the ball gets in his possession he produces highlights!

Sam Buck Sam Buck 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Highland | 2021 IL is a STUD! He has awaken a lot of colleges throughout his 4 years of competing at the Varsity level. As a freshman Sam started on a team that went 12-1 and lost in the semifinals. He has been a growing beast for the Bulldogs ever since. Sam picked up small D1 offers from local schools including Western Illinois & Eastern Illinois. Sam is a vocal leader but he also leads by example. He is the most physical kid that Coach Warren, the bulldogs head coach, has ever been around in his 10th year as Head Coach. Sam is a great mixture of speed, size, and strength. Brett Howard is an athlete that trains like no other. He is the captain of the football team and the wrestling team. It is safe to say that Brett is a natural born leader. He enjoys the brotherhood that football has provided for him allowing lifelong relationships with his teammates. Brett’s is an extremely aggressive player and a true competitor! What makes Brett different from other players in his position group is his quick first steps and he is faster than most other lineman within his area. Colleges will get an intelligent player that understands defenses formations and picks up on schemes quickly when it comes to Brett Howard. Brett has worked a lot on his pass drops, hand placements, and overall form to prepare for this upcoming season. It wont take long before Brett Howard is spotted on a lot of scouts radars this year!
