Ohio State Camp 6/15/22: Players Ready to Explode

Yesterday I highlighted some players who caught my eye. Today I will highlight some players that I think are about to heat up in their recruiting. The players range from the 2023 to 2025 classes, and both sides of the ball. Here’s six players that I think are ready to have their recruitments heat up.
2025 LB [player_tooltip player_id="284925" first="Maddox" last="Arnold"] (Elder) 6’2 210- Arnold (pictured above) is a young man I’ve been wanting to see live and he didn’t disappoint. Arnold is already well filled out for his age and combines it with explosiveness and speed. He runs downhill and he’s violent with his hands. At this point I like him as an Outside Linebacker at the college level, but he could grow into a defensive end. Either way he has a high level combo of strength, speed, and size for his age. I project him to the Power 5 level. I expect the offers to start rolling in with some good Sophomore film.

The young offensive tackle has great feet and is stout at the point of attack. He has a great frame and carries weight well. He plays with good balance and is very patient which is uncommon for offensive lineman at his age. It’s easy to see why Ameer already holds offers from Kentucky and Akron. Areas of improvement would be his hand placement and punch. I expect with a strong sophomore campaign the power 5 schools will start offering.

He’s patient and sound in his technique. He has high end speed and plays with great range. With his length and athleticism if he continues to fill out and get stronger I expect him to get P5 interest very quickly. I like him as a free safety at the college level who can fly around make plays. As he continues to fill out and get stronger he’s going to become a force who will come up and lay the wood. I can’t wait to see how Rice continues to develop in a strong Hoban strength and conditioning program.

When you watch him go through defensive back drills you see him turns his hips and his quick feet he makes it look easy. He plays well in space and in man. Areas of development would be adding weight and strength and his level of physicality. I would like to see him play more down hill and physical versus the run. Bruce has 1 D1 offer from Central Michigan. I like him at that D1 mid-major level.

He does a good job of playing with a low pad level and has a strong base which he’s able to absorb a power rush. He has good hand placement and once he engages he does a good job resetting as needed. I like him especially as a run blocker which we don’t see in camp situations. As he continues to get stronger I expect him to become even more of a force in the run game. Satterwhite holds an offer from Kentucky.

He has offers from Kentucky and Kent State. He hast the fluid hips to turn and run and speed to ride step for step with receivers. There was a rep in 1v1’s were the receiver faked outside and took the inside slant, and with perfect form Bradley shot his left hand and then ran stride for stride with inside position and batted the ball down. With his length and speed, I really believe Bradley has Power 5 ability. With a strong fall we could see more offers come his way.
