As the camp season is in full swing. Camps all over the Northeast have brought out all the best talent from New Jersey. The PSR combine was by far the biggest camp in terms of the number of families represented. Over 500 families signed up for this massive event and the best athletes from New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and even Florida came out and put their best competitive performances together. Out of 500 kids, we happened to find some standout performers at key positions.
[player_tooltip player_id="172492" first="Xavier" last="Miles"] IDL, Saint Peter’s Prep 2024
At 6’4 300lbs [player_tooltip player_id="172492" first="Xavier" last="Miles"] is a physically impressive athlete. His eagerness caught our attention at the combine, being the first defensive lineman at almost every drill. He had some solid one-on-one reps where he flashed good use of hands, quickness, and a solid pass rush plan. [player_tooltip player_id="172492" first="Xavier" last="Miles"] put on an impressive showing at the combine and will be one of the top defensive prospects in the 2024 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="284065" first="Jordan" last="Thomas"] WR, Bergen Catholic 2026
One of the youngest participants there Thomas stood out at the wide receiver position. Showing his impressive body control catching more than one contested pass that impressed the crowd. He’s extremely raw for the position and has a lot of growing to do in terms of being more technical at the position. He has solid physical tools. Namely his arm length, and his long frame. With that frame, he’ll obviously have to get bigger, but being only an 8th grader you have to be excited as to what he can develop into.

[player_tooltip player_id="335879" first="Cole" last="Skinner"] OT, Point Pleasant Boro 2023
The most impressive offensive tackle on the first day of the combine series. The coaches put Skinner through the wringer. At 6’6 305 he showed how dominant he could be in pass protection. Still needs to work on his leverage and keeping his pads low, but he did show, that for a bigger offensive lineman he can move his feet and drop his hips in pass pro. [player_tooltip player_id="335879" first="Cole" last="Skinner"] was the standout offensive lineman on the first day of the combine. Handling any and all competition that came his way.

[player_tooltip player_id="321763" first="Anthony" last="Aviles"] OT, Depaul Catholic 2023
PrepRedzone’s recipient of the best pass protector superlative, he did nothing at the combine to lose that tag. He flashed all the solid traits that make a solid offensive tackle. With Aviles, his hands and his anchoring ability are what stood out for him as he had many dominant reps on the day.

[player_tooltip player_id="291053" first="Antonio" last="Rivera"] DB, Piscataway 2023
Not the biggest defensive back you’ll find on the football field, but what he lacks in size he makes up for with legit speed. He showed his solid footspeed making a plethora of nice plays on the ball in coverage. Overall Rivera had a strong day and flashed that solid quickness and footspeed that makes his movement skills special.
