Central Ohio 2025 Watch List
Central Ohio is packed full of talent and it is rare that you see freshmen get the opportunity to play on Friday nights. Usually, the athletes that get early play time pan out to be top players because of their natural abilities, and having 4 years of varsity playing experience puts them in a class by themselves. Below are athletes in the class of 2025 that you should be on the lookout for!
<strong>Jaystin Gwinn | 6’1″ 165 | ATH | Westerville Central</strong>
Jaystin is an electric player that jumps off the film. He has the speed to break the long ones and the shiftiness to make defenders miss in space and create for himself. He played wideout at the beginning of the season and was moved to quarterback to finish the season. He is very dangerous with the ball in his hands the type of player that can turn a broken play into a positive one with his leg, and can break a run or take a quick slant for a 70 yard touchdown at anytime. Excited to see Jaystin over the next couple years will be one of the top player in the state in his class.

<strong>Jackson Wiley | 6’0″ 155 | WR | Olentangy </strong>
Jackson is a good receiver with sure hands. On his tape you see he has the ability to take the top off the defense, and that he is willing to run short- intermediate routes across the middle of the defense and make catches in traffic. Also he is slippery with the ball in his hands making defenders miss tackles in tights space and gain a lot of YAC yardage after catches. I was really impressed by his film and expect this kid to make a big name for himself!

<strong><span class="name-pointer">Reese Powell</span> | 5’11″ 170 | DB | Licking Heights</strong>
Reese showcased he is a tough physical players his freshman year. He show cased his versatility on his film some time lining up in the box, and he would line up deep at safety as well. Reese is a sure tackler that run the alley wells from the safety position. I saw him at the best of the midwest combine and he moves well and can get in & out of breaks. I would like to see him make more plays in the pass game his sophomore year, but the future is bright for Reese.

Preston is a strong, and well put together athlete. During his freshman year he played multiple positions for the panthers and eventually worked himself into the starting line up. He is a sure handed receiver that can make you miss with the ball in his hands, and he is willing to do the dirty work and block on the edge. Preston was at the best of the midwest and showcased his ability to create separation and high point the ball. He will be a good ball player in the future, and is athletically enough to play on either side of the ball. I look forward to watching him play this season
