In this edition of the Under the Radar series, we are going to look at the class of 2024 wide receiver position. One position grouping that continues to improve in the state of Arkansas is the wide receiver position.
Lachlan McKinney Lachlan McKinney 5'11" | 195 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2024 State AR -Fayetteville-5’10” 170-Pounds
The one position that the Fayetteville Bulldogs seem to always have a surplus of is the wide receiver position. Lachlan McKinney Lachlan McKinney 5'11" | 195 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2024 State AR is a wide receiver that can excel at both the slot and outside receiver positions. McKinney has soft hands and good speed. He is the kind of a wide receiver that finds ways to get open and create plenty of headaches for the opposing defense in the process. McKinney is a wide receiver I expect to see plenty of passes thrown his way over the next two seasons.
Jake Jones Jake Jones 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Hoxie | 2024 State AR -Hoxie-6’3” 185-Pounds
Jake Jones Jake Jones 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Hoxie | 2024 State AR is a physical wide receiver for the Hoxie Mustangs. He is one of those wide receivers that can make the tough receptions look easy. Jones is a difficult wide receiver for opposing defensive backs to attempt to cover. The 6’3” frame that Jones has allows him to go up and make the tough receptions in the red zone. Jones is a versatile player that sees time on the defensive side of the ball. He is a prospect to watch out for this season.
Keenan Jackson Keenan Jackson 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Osceola | 2024 State AR -Osceola-6’2” 170-Pounds
Keenan Jackson Keenan Jackson 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Osceola | 2024 State AR is a wide receiver that you can line up all over the field. Jackson has the speed to give opposing defensive backs plenty of problems. He can play the outside receiver position or be used in the slot with impressive effectiveness. Jackson will likely see some carries, taking the ball on jet sweeps. The Osceola wide receiver is a prospect to keep an eye on this season.
Tate Collins Tate Collins 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Little Rock Christian Academy | 2024 State AR -Little Rock Christian-6’1” 175-Pounds
The Little Christian product is a wide receiver with impressive speed. Collins’s speed allows him to create plenty of separation from opposing defenders. The fact that he does a good job of looking the ball into his hands doesn’t hurt his production either. Collins is an extremely versatile player. He can play both sides of the ball with equal effectiveness and it will be interesting to see how the Little Rock Christian coaching staff involves him in the passing game.
Jordan Green Jordan Green 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Warren | 2024 State AR -Warren-5’11” 160-Pounds
The Warren Lumberjacks do a fantastic job of producing quality wide receivers. Green is a wide receiver that uses his mix of route running and speed to his advantage. He does a terrific job of creating separation and making sure he has the ball before he runs. Green is going to be a tough matchup for opposing defensive backs over the next few years. Warren has likely produced another top-notch wide receiver.
