Similar to Stites at Berryhill, we didn’t know about Shawnee standout Landon Davis-Barkus Landon Davis-Barkus 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Shawnee | 2023 State OK until we saw him at one of the team camps in May. He was a linebacker that could not be stopped that day and he had a stellar senior season. Even though Shawnee struggled, Barkus had a great senior campaign. Barkus has signed with East Central in Ada but has signed to play running back. Barkus was one of the more versatile prospects in the state’s 2023 class, playing multiple positions on both sides of the ball. But we still think that he’s at his best when he’s lining up at linebacker.

Similar to Stites at Berryhill, Shawnee senior linebacker Landon Davis-Barkus Landon Davis-Barkus 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Shawnee | 2023 State OK has had an outstanding six months and his recruitment has started to take off because of it. Like Stites, we first got a chance to see the Shawnee standout in person at a team camp back in late May. And just like Stites, he is a hard-hitting linebacker who flies all over the field but also turns around and is one of the more physical running backs in the class. This fall, Shawnee struggled on the scoreboard but Davis-Barkus would be the bright spot for the Wolves every single week. He also showed that he’s a complete team player as he played multiple positions to help his team each week. But there’s no doubt that he is a linebacker at the next level and has a high ceiling.

It’s been a rough season for Shawnee on the field but the Wolves still have prospects like linebacker Landon Davis-Barkus Landon Davis-Barkus 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Shawnee | 2023 State OK that have shined this season. We first got a chance to see Barkus earlier this year during a team camp back in May and he stood out to us throughout the evening in Choctaw. This season, Barkus has moved around and played a few different positions on the defensive side of the ball. But the one constant, no matter where he’s lined up has been his production. Barkus has averaged over 15 tackles per game as he just has a nose for the ball and knows where to be at all times.
