The lefty QB is well on his way to developing into a quality starting QB. He’s got the frame, arm, and football IQ to be successful at the next level. He’s also decently mobile and can hit targets rolling out to his right. Being able to accurately throw cross-body is one of the more underrated qualities a QB can have. Bouwkamp excels in that area and is 1 step ahead. While he didn’t leave as the QB MVP, he was consistent, made good throws, and never put the ball in harms way. He was one of the QBs who protected the ball the most this weekend while giving his guys chances.

Talent-rich Zionsville High School has a big-time QB waiting in its wings with 6’3, 200 lber. Keegan Bouwkamp Keegan Bouwkamp 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Brebeuf Jesuit | 2027 State IN , who brings great size to the table as a freshman and has the skillset to match. A lefty with a big arm that can stretch the field and put a noticeable amount of velocity and zip on the rock, Bouwkamp has the mental expertise to match the physical ability, as he shows he can get through his reads and sees the field well, especially for a freshman, and displays the always-important internal clock that makes sure he doesn’t hold onto the ball too long. He’ll take off and run when he sees tight coverage, or scramble outside the pocket, where he’s accurate on the run and has put the ball into some tight windows both inside and outside the pocket. Bouwkamp is great at improvising and creating plus-gains when things break down or when seeing tight coverage, but he’s equally productive inside the pocket, where he leads wideouts open, can put touch on the rock downfield, and shows accuracy to all three levels of the field. Coached up by the excellent Anthony Morelli at X-Factor QB Academy, it’s hard not to think his future is bright and he’s going to take his varsity opportunity and run when that time comes.

Keegan Boukamp is another quarterback to keep your eye on as he makes the jump up to the high school ranks. The 6’3 lefty gunslinger is a reclass prospect and made the move from Tennessee to Indiana this past year. The now Hooiser State product is starting to put everything together and is starting to really look the part. Keegan has smooth-moving feet in the pocket and has a very natural throwing motion. Keegan puts a nice touch on the ball that allows him to accurately place the ball on his targets. Boukamp is also fearless in the pocket, with him being able to evade defenders, there is nothing that he can’t handle when he has the ball in his hands. From everything that I have seen from Keegan, it is clear that he has the talent to take the midwest by storm over the next couple years. Big things are coming for Keegan and it shouldn’t be long until his first offer comes.

It’s been quite the middle school football ride for Bouwkamp. After  an injury last year in Tennessee through a wrench in some key off-season development, he and his family relocated to Indiana. He has since reclassed to the class of 2027, and is looking to make up for the unfortunate lost time of a year ago. This season he is taking the field for Heritage Christian in Indianapolis and is continuing to put the pieces together. A 6-foot-3, 175-pound Southpaw with a live arm, he should have a distinct advantage physically due in part to his strength. He’s already bench pressing 190-pounds, squatting 300-pounds and deadlifting 325-pounds. Time will tell on this one.
