Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An incredibly productive EDGe defender for the mighty Marist Eagles in metro-Atlanta, Richerson was a dependable defender all season long where he consistently made play after play in the backfield. After a giant junior season where he made 67 tackles, 24 TFLs and 15 sacks, Richerson was named 1st Team All Region, 1st Team All State 4A, and was a 4A State Championship Runner-Up. He’s one of the more underrated prospects in the area and an easy addition to the next 2026 Prep Redzone rankings this spring. He added a recent offer from Duke and more are likely on the way.

The 6’4 205 TE/DE is the #1 Ranked 3B prospect in the State but based on his performance tonight he could have a future on the football field. A good frame that still has plenty of room to add weight, Richerson is athletic and plays the game with a competitive chip on his shoulder. He recorded 7 TT with a sack and added 1 catch for 23 yards on offense. He had a 4 sack performance in an earlier playoff game and watching him tonight it is easy to see why.
Odds are he takes the baseball route but I believe before his Senior season is done he will have a few football options on the table.
