PRZPA StockUp Showcase: Unranked Spotlight

We at Prep Redzone pride ourselves on providing exposure for athletes across any area as well as any level. Many unranked prospects attended our camp, there’s no better way to land a spot on said rankings than performing well in front of scouts. Many did this past Friday night. Many are listed below. I’ll be giving a quick eval on each unranked prospect as well as stating what they provide to their respective teams. No ranking can ever be guaranteed, but these prospects are one step closer. Eddie Bowen Eddie Bowen 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL/TE Central Bucks South | 2025 State PA | 5’11, 176 | DL Here’s an incoming freshman who many at Archbishop Wood are excited about. Came into the camp registering as a defensive lineman, but has the hand-eye coordination and natural hands to potentially make noise at tight end in the future. Ran a great 40 at the camp, sub 4.8. He produces like we expect him to, he’ll earn that ranking. Raytel Bryant Raytel Bryant 5'9" | 180 lbs | DB Harrisburg | 2024 State PA | 5’6, 175 | DB One of three "Top Performers" on this unranked list. No performance at a camp can 100% earn you a ranking, but if they could Raytel would have taken it. The best overall defensive back performance outside of Rawlison. Harrisburg has yet another stud sophomore in Bryant, who has a ton of room to fill underneath his pads. Ball locating and hip fluidity is a bit advanced for his age.

Colten Danel Colten Danel 5'10" | 195 lbs | LB Forest Hills | 2023 State PA | 5’8, 222 | DL Plugged this kid’s tape on after seeing he had signed up. Relatively unknown to me beforehand. He showed off some impressive upper and lower body strength. He finishes runs and tackles with authority. The 2nd-Team All-Camp defender came into the event with the same mindset. I’m a fan from here on out.

Wyatt Heistand Wyatt Heistand 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Gettysburg Area | 2023 State PA | 5’11, 202 | LB Couldn’t dig up too much out of Wyatt before the event. Didn’t matter. Unranked out of Gettysburg, the junior went on to impress mightily during the testing portion of the event. Won’t just yet release the kid’s scores, but they were good enough to land the LB/RB on our 2nd-Team All-Camp list. Jayden Johnson Jayden Johnson 5'6" | 160 lbs | RB Gettysburg | 2023 State PA | 5’6, 153 | RB Another "Top Performer" at his position. Coaches running the camp, as well as the coaches evaluating, all noted that Jayden’s play stood out to them. As far as a ranking goes, Johnson was well on his way to a ranking before the event. Was a late watch by the ranking team. Love his lateral speed and agility combo. Nelson Mejias Nelson Mejias 5'7" | WR Milton Hershey | 2025 GA | 5’7, 139 | WR Here’s a freshman wideout/athlete out of Milton Hershey whose film I just plugged in before writing this piece. Almost all of his early production is in the screen-game behind the line of scrimmage, which should tell you that his JV coach trusts him as a play-maker and wants the ball in his hands. Awesome sign early in his development.

Brett Nye Brett Nye 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Shamokin Area | 2023 State PA | 6’1, 217 | QB not being ranked to this point is 100% an oversight. Not sure how someone of this kid’s caliber slipped through the cracks. Ranking incoming for the Shamokin junior. I wrote the kid might have a D2 floor but he isn’t on our rankings. One has got to change! He’s a frequent worker/camper. His feet match his eyes in the pocket and shows off a smooth, effortless release. Gavin Picard Gavin Picard 6'3" | 205 lbs | TE Avon Grove | 2024 State PA | 6’4, 180 | WR Love what the Avon Grove sophomore brings to the table. Originally listed at 6’2, came in at 6’4. Already a huge plus when projecting the kid to tight-end. Along with the obvious height is a little bit of subtlety out of his breaks. Potential to play as a big safety as well. Athletic enough to hurt teams out in the flats and in curl zones.

Roger Romany Walker Roger Romany Walker 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB Hanover Nighthawks | 2022 PA 2022 | RB If I could update the senior rankings one last time, would be on the list, and relatively higher than expected. The Hanover product produces at numerous areas of the field, providing position versatility on both sides of the ball. Senior tape below.

Corey Schock Corey Schock 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Owen J Roberts | 2025 State PA | 5’9, 173 | QB Samuel Smalls Samuel Smalls 5'8" | 165 lbs | WR Bishop Mcdevitt | 2024 PA | 5’7, 160 | WR Above are two players without too much film online. Both are young prospects who caught my eye a couple of times Friday night. So much so that I wanted to name to the 2nd-Team All-Camp list. Didn’t make that cut but still showed some solid acceleration off the line. I like ’s early skillset as well, a freshman out of Owen J. Roberts. Soren Stoltzfus Soren Stoltzfus 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Conestoga Valley | 2024 State PA | 6’1, 280 | OL Was an absolute pleasure hosting this kid. I really like our 2024 rankings with just under 300 prospects on it. Soren wasn’t one of those 300, which will change very very soon. The only 1st-Team camper that is currently unranked. All eyes are on him moving forward.
