The 2024 class in the state of Arkansas is already making some noise. Today we are to take a look at some 2024 prospects that have then potential to have a huge 2022 seasons. For scouts and fans both it will be a preview of players that should make plenty of plays next season. Let’s take a look at a few of the guys that are going to explode on to the scene next season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="157343" first="Cameron" last="Vanzant"]-Quarterback-Farmington</strong> Many people are well aware of [player_tooltip player_id="157343" first="Cameron" last="Vanzant"]. The Farmington signal caller led the Cardinals to 8-3 record in 2021. In the process, he led a dynamic offense that could hit you with the big play or hit you with a time-consuming drive. In 2021, Vanzant threw for 2,407 yards and 28 touchdowns on the season. He is a quarterback that I am expecting big things from over the next few years. The potential he has is impressive and the Cardinals should make plenty of noise next season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175606" first="Skylar" last="Purifoy"]-Tight End-Hot Springs Lakeside</strong> The Lakeside Rams have plenty of talent at the skill positions. However, he can make the receptions to extend drives and he uses his 6’5” frame well to high point the football. Purifoy will also block and clear the path for his teammates. The potential for a big 2022 season is something that Purifoy has. Keep an eye on this Lakeside Ram, he is going to be a good one. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="153886" first="Charleston" last="Collins"]-Defensive Line-Pine Bluff</strong> Collins is a versatile defensive lineman that can play the edge rushing position or kick inside and play the tackle spot. He has excellent quickness and can terrorize the opposing quarterback with his speed. At 6’5”, the Pine Bluff defensive lineman can just put his hands up and affect the opposing passing game. Collins has the potential to have a big 2022 season. Pine Bluff is always loaded on the defensive line, and he fits in well with his skill set. Look out for Collins in 2022. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="149586" first="Jonathan" last="Goins Jr"]-Athlete-Sylvan Hills</strong> Goins Jr is an impressive athlete and can play all over the field for Sylvan Hills. He saw time at the linebacker position this season and racked up 60 tackles on the season. However, he was not finished there, he also went on to earn all-conference honors on the season. Goins Jr has that mix of power and speed to defeat the blocks and get into the backfield. He is a prospect that I expect to have an even bigger 2022 season. Goins Jr has a very high ceiling, and he has the potential to explode next season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="205755" first="Cooper" last="Jones"]-Linebacker-Little Rock Christian</strong> Jones reads the plays well and is not caught out of position. He can play either the linebacker or safety positions and is not afraid to deliver a blow. Jones plays with a chip on his shoulder and can make plays on the football. He is a player that uses his hands well to defeat blocks and he will not miss tackles. Jones is a player that was impressive in 2021 and I expect him to be even more impressive 2022.
