Jason Moore Jason Moore 6'6" | 255 lbs | DL Dematha | 2023 State MD is the #1 ranked player in the 2023 class, according to our rankings, and there is extremely good reason for that. Moore was recently named First Team All-MET after what was a spectacular season for the Junior defensive lineman. From quarterbacks to running backs, Moore pursues every ball carrier with great energy and tenacity. He finishes solo tackles, and he’s always the first teammate there to pick up the assist on a sack. Jason Moore Jason Moore 6'6" | 255 lbs | DL Dematha | 2023 State MD is a mismatch against every offensive lineman at the high school level, and he more than proved that this season in the WCAC- a conference with a plethora of collegiate level offensive lines. He possesses all of the intangibles that D1 level coaches are looking for, and he has truly grown into a leadership role for the DeMatha Stags’ defense. There’s no question that Jason Moore Jason Moore 6'6" | 255 lbs | DL Dematha | 2023 State MD will continue his dominance during the 2022 season and that his Senior season will be another breakout one.
2023 6’4 240 DL David Ojiegbe David Ojiegbe 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL St. John's | 2023 State MD – St. John’s
David Ojiegbe David Ojiegbe 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL St. John's | 2023 State MD is absolutely one of the Top 5 defensive linemen in the entire D.C, Maryland, and Virginia area. He was recently named First Team All-MET, and he managed to do so while battling injuries all season long. With his relentless pursuit of ball carriers and physical prowess, Ojiegbe was a fundamental part of St. Johns’ undefeated season. Offenses had a very difficult time moving the football against St. Johns’ defense in general. The Cadets forced five shutouts and only allowed 72 total points in 11 games, which is less than a touchdown per game on average. As a Junior, David Ojiegbe David Ojiegbe 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL St. John's | 2023 State MD was already a force to be reckoned with, therefore there’s no telling how dominant he will be once the 2022 season is finally upon us. He’s absolutely an elite level D1 talent who already has power five conference offers.
2023 5’10 210 LB Rohan Davy Rohan Davy 5'10" | 210 lbs | DB St. John's | 2023 State MD – St. John’s
You’d be hard pressed to find a football player with better instincts for the game than Rohan Davy Rohan Davy 5'10" | 210 lbs | DB St. John's | 2023 State MD . At linebacker, he impacts the game everywhere on the field defensively, and he’s able to do so because he sees plays develop and unfold before they actually happen. Whether the play is in the secondary or in the backfield it doesn’t matter, Davy is almost always the first player to the ball on every play. Everything he does is done with intense speed and on a straight line towards the football or ball carrier. You know exactly what you’re getting with a player like Rohan Davy Rohan Davy 5'10" | 210 lbs | DB St. John's | 2023 State MD , and that is an elite level linebacker who leads his defense with a win on every play mentality. Rohan Davy Rohan Davy 5'10" | 210 lbs | DB St. John's | 2023 State MD plays with the kind of heart and grit that college football is made out of, and it will be very exciting to watch his commitment decision next year if he chooses to play at the next level.
2023 6’3 270 DL Isaiah Neal Isaiah Neal 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2023 State MD – Gonzaga
Isaiah Neal Isaiah Neal 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2023 State MD is one of the premier defensive linemen in the WCAC, particularly when defending the run. He’s an absolute nightmare for running backs because once he has his hands on you there’s no escaping him. Neal is an extremely efficient tackler who is also capable of breaching the backfield quick enough to get sacks. His sheer size makes him almost impossible to block one on one, therefore offensive lines usually double cover him. This is a more than solid representation of just how dominant Isaiah Neal Isaiah Neal 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2023 State MD can be at the defensive line position. Scouts everywhere must remember his name for 2022 because he’s going to have another huge year for the Gonzaga Purple Eagles. There’s also zero doubt that Gonzaga is primed for a bounce back season next year, especially with Isaiah Neal Isaiah Neal 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL St. Frances | 2023 State MD leading the charge for them on defense.
2023 6’3 265 DL Chris Forbes – Bishop McNamara
Chris Forbes is a two way player who thrived on the defensive line for the Bishop McNamara Mustangs this year. He was also a key offensive lineman for them this season who showed promise against elite pass rushing defenses in St. John’s and DeMatha. Forbes improved a lot from last season, and his incredibly high ceiling can no longer be ignored by scouts. Chris Forbes is an elite overall player, and if he can continue to develop his game this offseason then 2022 will be an even bigger year for Forbes and the Mustangs. He has already demonstrated his ability to stay with the best of the best in an elite conference, but Chris Forbes has the potential to dominate next year during his Senior season campaign. Scouts everywhere must have him on their radars.
