It is always fun to watch some of the top prospects. Here are some of the top players from the 2024 class. Make sure to go watch them play next season!
#1 [player_tooltip player_id="77223" first="Jacob" last="Oden"] | DB | Harper Woods | Hudl
Oden shows a tremendous football IQ with his ability to first stop the ball carrier in his tracks and then proceed to strip the football out. Oden has good speed and is able to stay stride for stride with receivers. [player_tooltip player_id="77223" first="Jacob" last="Oden"] is also great in zone coverage and can put in foot in the ground and the work back to where the football is thrown.
#13 [player_tooltip player_id="77217" first="C.J." last="Carr"] | QB | Saline | Hudl
I got to watch [player_tooltip player_id="77217" first="C.J." last="Carr"] in person this season, and I was very impressed with his play. Carr does a good job of taking care of the football and not forcing throws. He does a good job of navigating the pocket and knowing when he needs to step up. Carr is great at throwing accurate deep balls that glide into his wide receiver’s hands.
#20 [player_tooltip player_id="187991" first="Jamir" last="Benjamin"] | DB | West Bloomfield |Hudl
Benjamin does a great job of playing press-man coverage. He does not allow a lot of separation on deep routes despite playing up close on receivers consistently. He is competitive when the ball is in the air and does a great job getting his hand up to beak up passes.
#14 [player_tooltip player_id="187996" first="Jaylen" last="Watson"] | WR | River Rouge | Hudl
Watson is great at accelerating on end-arounds. Not only does he get to the edge quickly, he has the speed to fly past defenders who have angles on him. River Rouge loved to run vertical routes with Watson and most of the time they were very effective. Watson was so good at separating from defensive backs when the ball was in the air. He also has some of the best body control you will see with the ability to work back to under-thrown footballs.
#4 [player_tooltip player_id="187998" first="Daivon" last="Hill"] | RB/LB | River Rouge | Hudl
Hill is a physical tackler who looks to drive ball carriers back. Hill had good ability and is easily able to move around blockers. Even if he is not making the tackle you will almost always find him around the ball. If you go and watch him play chances are you will hear his name called multiple times throughout the game. Hill displays good open field tackling, and is great at taking proper angles to the ball carrier.
