Cearns is one of the more dangerous ball carriers in the state who always seems to be one broken tackle away from taking every run to the house. His vision and track speed make him a viable option as a return man that opposing teams try to avoid kicking in his direction. Cearns is a player who has a versatile set of skills that allow him to be used in various ways on offense and special teams, making him a prospect with elite potential.

Even though he game did not go as planned for the Raptors, he managed to spark excitement into the Eaglecrest faithful when he broke a 70-yd touchdown run. Cearns has seen an uptick in his stock value as a prospect, including earning offers from Western Colorado University and Wheaton University.

He is the fifth-ranked rushing leader in yards and is on pace to become of the more prominent rushers in the Centennial League. His accolades as a returner up to this point were achieved in the first game due to teams refusing to kick the ball in his direction, which speaks volumes about his skills as a ball carrier in space. Cearns has a D2 offer from Western Colorado, but there is no reason his number of offers should not significantly increase.
