PIAA Class 5A State Title Game: Penn-Trafford – Imhotep

The PIAA State Finals are upon us! 12 teams, 6 games in Hershey, Pennsylvania. 12 programs are hoping to make history and cement their names in the record books representing their school. Loads of talent involved in each game, prospects who are capable of playing college ball at every level. We at Prep Redzone wish the best of luck to all involved! I am so intrigued by Zach Tomosovich, a sophomore along the PT offensive line, who also provides defensive tackle reps when needed. Awesome prototypical tackle build at such a young age. If he develops the way he’s trending, we will have a future ranked 2024 prospect on our hands. That’ll come in time. Little surprised [player_tooltip player_id="140910" first="Luke" last="Jollie"] didn’t bring home more seasonal accolades, we think highly of the senior as he currently ranks as a top 50 lineman in his class. If there’s a team capable of matching Imhotep’s pound-for-pound toughness, it’s Penn-Trafford. Can’t forget about this defensive line either. If anything, this game is going to be a war in the trenches, on both sides of the ball. The list is LONG when speaking on potential collegiate-level recruits currently enrolled at Imhotep Charter. [player_tooltip player_id="27553" first="Enai" last="White"] secured his number one spot on our latest ranking update with [player_tooltip player_id="27558" first="Nicholas" last="Singleton"] pushing hard for that spot. We are happy to see many of the ranked ’Tep players in the Summer boosted their stock this Fall. [player_tooltip player_id="27621" first="Rashaan" last="Wright"] and Public-League 5A MVP [player_tooltip player_id="27571" first="Maurice" last="Beverly"] saw their ranking spot improve even when they were already high, to begin with. Yet despite the numerous playoff trounces, it feels like Imhotep could be playing even better. Outscoring opponents 120-14 in the last three games, the Panthers will need to keep this defense clicking to stop [player_tooltip player_id="27612" first="Cade" last="Yacamelli"] and that outstanding Penn-Trafford offensive line. Tep has the depth and overall talent to do so. ’Tep also has elite talent at every age group. They are churning out significant production and snaps out of their underclassmen, a sign that Coach Devon Johnson and staff are expecting to be back in this position for the foreseeable future. Watch for Jabree Coleman, [player_tooltip player_id="142896" first="Zahir" last="Mathis"], Kenny Woseley Jr., and big Jahsear Whittington to make impact plays early and often. [player_tooltip player_id="142836" first="Tre" last="McLeod"] as well, who has been racking up Power Five offers. McLeod currently holds two ACC offers, one Big-12 offer and two SEC offers out of Ole Miss and Texas A&amp;M.
