Back in the Gateway for Football Friday

The StopPRZPrimeTime focus is back in Missouri for an intriguing STL Football Friday matchup between Class 4A #9 Vianney (2-1) and visiting Class 6A #3 Christian Brothers College (2-1) - PLUS a StopPRZPrimeTime matchup that is worth paying attention to, along with other big time games of the week.

*** Use code StopPRZ30 to slash 30% off your subscription to Prep Redzone ***

*** Follow your favorites all season long with us on PRZ Scores ***

CHRISTIAN BROTHERS vs VIANNEY

Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1601158' first='Daylen' last='Austin-Harvey'] exploded last week for 453 total yards, 7 total TDs, against the De Smet team we saw just a couple weeks prior. DAH led CBC to an electric 59-48 win. Senior receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1188262' first='Arness' last='Webb'], who also popped last week, is the retriever du jour so far this fall. Underclassmen [player_tooltip player_id='1601023' first='Isaiah' last='Thomas'], [player_tooltip player_id='1752480' first='Don' last='McGhee'] and national prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1222940' first='Kingston' last='McPike'] - also an electric returner - are names to watch. Three young DBs are there to provide air cover - juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1673282' first='Joshua' last='Beasley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2229038' first='Jakah' last='Cooper'], and soph [player_tooltip player_id='1740562' first='Milton' last='Proctor III'].

On the Vianney side, freshman QB [player_tooltip player_id='1591172' first='Harlan' last='Futrell'] faces the first massive test of his young career. He popped for the first time in 2026 versus Ladue with 327 total yards and 4 total touchdowns. He has a pair of two-way horses to distribute the ball to on the perimeter with senior Noah Willams and soph [player_tooltip player_id='1743321' first='Kali' last='Thomas']. On the ground, Futrell has wheels, but also senior [player_tooltip player_id='1198142' first='Robert' last='Eatherton'] , who opened the season with 272 yards and 5 touchdowns versus Lindbergh, is showing no slowing down from last year's season ending injury. Soph [player_tooltip player_id='1910948' first='CJ' last='Fennell'] joins Williams and Thomas in the secondary.

Expecting this to be a spatial showdown of stallions. CBC just has more of them.

Christian Brothers wins. Vianney puts up a valiant effort, and the freshman Futrell affirms the hype in another legit QB duel.

NIXA vs WEBB CITY

This would be StopPRZPrimeTime matchup 1a. A pair of #2 ranked programs in the two highest classifications meet in Jasper County when 6A Nixa faces up with 5A Webb City.

This is a complete juxtaposition of styles.

On one side, Webb City is run heavy outfit with three bell cows, seven different players visiting the paint through three games, averaging over 378 yards a Friday. Junior Drake Claborn leads the way with 45 carries, 327 yards and 4 touchdowns. Behind him is senior Mason Young with 31 carries, 292 yards and 2 touchdowns, and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2081619' first='Austin' last='Arft'] with 29 carries, 186 yards and 4 touchdowns. They blew out their first two opponents, and escaped with a narrow win versus Ozark.

Nixa has a balanced attack with a Division I capable quarterback that can do work through the air and with his legs. [player_tooltip player_id='1587352' first='Adam' last='McKnight'] is completing passes at 84.2% rate with 490 yards, 4 touchdowns, and no picks. On the ground, McKnight is the leading rusher with 311 yards on 40 carries and 7 touchdowns. McKnight is currently committed to Missouri State.

Nixa tailback [player_tooltip player_id='2326285' first='Jax' last='Adams'] does work on the ground, in the passing game, and returns punts and kicks. Through three games, Adams has 551 all purpose yards and 6 touchdowns. Carter Mabe is the leading receiver with 166 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Picking the balanced attack here and a tight-ish Nixa win.

ADDITIONAL BIG GAMES IN WEEK 4

Lee's Summit West vs Ray-Pec

Liberty North vs Blue Springs

Lee's Summit vs Lee's Summit North

Chaminade vs De Smet

Kearney vs Rockhurst

St. Mary's vs Jackson

Smithville vs Platte County

Helias vs Camdenton

https://twitter.com/PrepRedzoneMO/status/2100248189248938304
