Recruiting Risers: 4 Impressive 2029 Prospects To Keep an Eye On

<p>Four sophomore playmakers have undoubtedly stood out over the first couple of weeks of the 2026 season, and today we're going to dive into who they are.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1730454' first='Ryan' last='Herring'] has been incredibly impressive on the offensive side of the ball for the Saints over the first two games of the 2026 season.</p>   <p>He's scored 5 total touchdowns so far this season (4 receiving/1 punt return) and even had another one called back in week 2.</p>   <p>Herring moves very well and has displayed the skill set to succeed both outside and in the slot. He runs beautiful routes and does a great job of separating in congested areas of the field, which will undoubtedly translate well to the collegiate level.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1730454' first='Ryan' last='Herring'] is definitely someone I'm keeping my eye on over the next few games.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/RyanHerring_17/status/2099451281442033960?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Elijah Davis Jr. plays both ways for Glen Allen, and his incredible length stands out all over the field.</p>   <p>He towers over defenders when he lines up at wide receiver, and his enormous catch radius makes things really easy for his quarterback. He made his first varsity catch in Week 1, which also just so happened to be his first varsity touchdown.</p>   <p>Davis Jr. shows a lot of potential as a big possession-style receiver who can box out defenders at the catch point going forward. </p>   <p>College coaches need to make sure that they have Davis Jr. on their watch lists this year.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/elijah_rjd/status/2096296899120902584?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2121735' first='Brock' last='Zakrzewski'] continues to look excellent at wide receiver, both as a route-runner and with the ball in his hands. He was very impressive throughout the offseason at different recruiting camps, and that success has carried over to the 2026 season.</p>   <p>He's deceptively fast and does a great job of finding open space after the catch.</p>   <p>Zakrzewski's basically a "big play waiting to happen" whenever the ball is thrown his way, and if he continues on his current path (averaging 1.3 touchdowns per game in 2026), he's going to see some big-time offers rolling in soon.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BrockZak2029/status/2099197627074015400?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1748568' first='Cole' last='Dunham'] is the definition of a playmaker at the QB position, and he's someone who I've been pretty high on in 2026. </p>   <p>He's able to make a lot of different, tough throws both under pressure and while on the move, on top of being an incredibly dangerous runner.
