The top five includes some different types of production — from receivers getting plenty of opportunities to others doing their damage on just a handful of catches. Here's a look at the early leaders.

1. [player_tooltip player_id='1818750' first='Quinn' last='Bera'] — Gretna East | Sr. | WR/DB | 5'11", 190

197 yards | 12 receptions | 3 TD | 98.5 yards per game

Bera leads Class B with 197 receiving yards through two games and has already found the end zone three times. His 12 receptions are also the most among the top five. At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Bera has good size, and Gretna East has clearly made him a significant part of an offense that has helped the Griffins start 2-0.

Up next: It doesn't get much more interesting than this. Gretna East gets a rivalry showdown with 2-0 Gretna, giving the Class B receiving leader a big early-season stage.

Just a junior, Badman is off to a strong start with two touchdown catches through the first two games, already matching his sophomore total. With good size and legit speed, Badman is an emerging weapon in the Waverly offense.

A lot of the attention understandably goes to North Dakota commit [player_tooltip player_id='1192420' first='Gavin' last='McMillan'], but opponents and recruiters may be making a mistake if they overlook Badman. He's more than just a complementary target. Badman is also an accomplished hurdler, winning two gold medals at the 2026 Class B state track meet, and that athleticism shows up on the football field.

With another year of development still ahead of him, Badman has the tools and production to emerge as a name of his own in the 2028 class.

https://www.hudl.com/profile/22820529/Braxton-Badman

2. [player_tooltip player_id='2381922' first='Braxton' last='Badman'] — Waverly | Jr. | WR/DB | 6'1", 170

172 yards | 7 receptions | 2 TD | 56 long

Badman is tied for second in receiving yards, but what's impressive is how he's gotten there. He has 172 yards on only seven catches, nearly 25 yards every time he makes a reception. He also has two touchdowns and a 56-yard catch. The junior hasn't needed a lot of touches to make a difference for 2-0 Waverly.

Up next: Defending State Champs Waverly travels to 0-2 Gross Catholic on Friday night looking to keep its unbeaten start going.

Judy is a two-sport athlete who also starts for Gering on the basketball court, and at 6'3", 180 pounds, he brings the kind of length and athleticism that immediately stands out at wide receiver. His basketball background shows in his ability to use his frame, compete for the football and give his quarterback a sizable target.

With his on-field production and big-play potential, coupled with his combination of size, multi-sport athleticism, Judy has the physical profile of a receiver worth following closely as his senior season develops

https://www.hudl.com/profile/19619766/Max-Judy

3. [player_tooltip player_id='2381936' first='Max' last='Judy'] — Gering | Sr. | WR/DB | 6'3", 180

172 yards | 10 receptions | 17.2 yards per catch | 38 long

Judy has the same 172 yards as Badman, but his production has come a little differently. The 6-foot-3 senior has 10 receptions and is averaging better than 17 yards per catch. He hasn't scored yet, but he's been a consistent source of yardage for a 1-1 Gering team coming off a 24-7 win over Lexington.

Up next: Gering hosts 2-0 Sidney in week 3.

A two-sport athlete, Frederick brings a nice combination of size and athleticism at 6'2", 185 pounds. He was Plattsmouth's leading scorer on the basketball court last season, and that athletic ability has carried over to football, where he has already produced an 82-yard touchdown reception.

His basketball background, size and big-play ability make Frederick an intriguing receiving prospect and one to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

He was Honorable Mention Class B District 2 as a junior.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='2381938' first='Nathan' last='Frederick'] — Plattsmouth | Sr. | WR/DB | 6'2", 185

141 yards | 5 receptions | 2 TD | 82 long

Frederick's numbers jump off the page and those numbers come with an important caveat: Frederick's posted production reflects just one game, as his Week 2 statistics have yet to be added. His 82-yard touchdown and big-play ability already make him an intriguing prospect, with more production potentially still to be added to his early-season totals.

Up next: Plattsmouth faces undefeated Blair in week 3.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='1192650' first='Matthew' last='Ott'] — Elkhorn | Sr. | WR/DB | 6'1", 185

137 yards | 8 receptions | 17.1 yards per catch | 56 long

Ott rounds out the top five with 137 yards on eight receptions. He hasn't scored yet, but he's averaging better than 17 yards per catch with a long of 56. The production also isn't new for Ott after a junior season in which he finished with 578 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Elkhorn sits at 1-1 through two weeks.

Up next: The Antlers host 0-2 Norris on Thursday night as both teams look to bounce back from Week 2 losses.
