Friday, Northside picked up a signature win under Coach Daniel "Boone" Williams, knocking off rival Warner Robins 32-10. Their win over Warner Robins snapped a 9-game losing streak in the series and should be a spark for this once-storied program in year 2 under Coach Boone.
Three straight losing seasons have plagued the Northside program, but there is no shortage of talent and athleticism on this roster. At 2-1, Northside has already surpassed its win total from 2025. However, they stare down the barrel of a gauntlet schedule filled with powerhouse programs like Coffee, Lee County, Houston County, and Thomas County Central. On Friday, they play host to Westlake, which will be another tough one. Regardless, this is the most momentum this program has had in years, and they hope the win over their bitter rival is enough of a launch pad to get back to the postseason.
Here are the prospects getting it done during the early part of the year for Northside.
Impact Players
Patmon is a prized recruit in the state of Georgia and a game-breaker on the defensive front for Northside. Patmon is a mountain right in the middle of the defensive front for Northside, proving difficult to move and forcing the offense to reconsider anything between the tackles. He is an active player with feisty hands and the proven ability to come unglued and get after the football.
Highlights
This is my first look at Kato Hunter Kato Hunter 6'4" | 220 lbs | EDGE/TE Warner Robins Northside | 2027 GA , who moved into Northside from Florida this past offseason. While he has a handful of FBS and P4 offers from the spring, he is being overlooked nationally. He is listed closer to 6'4 235, and plays DE, a spot I expect him to stick at. He is a strong player who uses his strength in conjunction with his length to control the point and set the edge. He reminds me of Zakir Abdul-Salaam, who signed with Kennesaw State in the 2026 class.
Highlights
Rozier is emerging as a noteworthy 2028 OL prospect in GA and has major P4 offers under his belt. He is an athletic player who has room to bulk and hides weight on his frame. Regardless, his violence pops on tape, consistently sticking on blocks and finishing through the whistle. He has an aggressive nature to his game, which will translate well with the athletic traits and physical upside he has to offer.
Highlights
Walker is dropped right in the middle of this Northside defense and consistently gets in on all the action. He hovers around 5'11, and a long-term home as a DB might be in store. Regardless, I love how he pursues, his pop at the POA, and his violence, which is a trademark of several defenders on this Northside defense. He is an underrated player, but has been recognized by coaches as a top performer.
Solomon is off to a hot start to his junior season and is a top playmaker offensively for Northside. He is a small, true scatback with really impressive short-area quickness and foot speed. He is a tough tackle in a phone booth, but I am most impressed with his ability to maintain speed and acceleration as he finds space.
I highlighted Hicks a little over a week ago, and he has maintained his status as a true breakout DB prospect. He will project as a DB, but is doing a little bit of everything for Northside. He is a good athlete and exceptionally smooth and clean as a mover. He pairs that with excellent instincts, ball skills, and body control. He does a lot of things well, and I think he is setting himself up for a busy offseason on the recruiting trail.
Turner is another noteworthy 2029 DB with FBS offers to his name. Turner is a patient player at corner with great instincts and feel. He is an explosive player who can come downhill and strike, while also playing above the rim. He plays bigger than listed, and his nose for the football, instincts, and general athleticism round things out nicely here.
Tate is a traitsy, athletic QB coming off a flashy performance in the win against Warner Robins. He is a truly game-breaking player as a runner, both by design and in the scramble. He is fast, but also slick, allowing him to weave around contact. I am sure colleges will want him to play a skill spot, but he isn't shabby as a passer. He has a natural coil as a passer and is capable of moving it up and down. Regardless of where he plays at the next level is irrelevant to what he is doing now, which is generating wow plays weekly.
