PRZMN is always on the lookout for rising talent, and with the season kicking off this week, let's check out some New Starters to Watch Entering the 2026 SZN. Enjoy!   -    Rosemount's 8-2 2025 campaign was anchored by a crowded backfield led by Northfield transfer Savion Severson and fellow senior Jakhi Hollie, both of whom ended up at St. John's in the Johnnies' 100+ man 2026 commitment class. Plus, the Irish have 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1651473' first='Jaidon' last='Jackson'] coming up the pipeline, as he received his fair share of reps in 2025, but PRZMN has our sights set on first-time varsity contributor [player_tooltip player_id='1358134' first='Christian' last='Britnell']. The young buck posted some eye-popping sprints from the 2026 outdoor track & field season, namely his 11.2 100M and 22.6 200M PRs, and he reports good weight room numbers such as a 255 clean and 395 lb. squat.   Britnell posted 9 TDs on JV for Rosemount in 2025, and he earned varsity action during the playoff run, finishing with three carries for 26 yards and a TD, plus a catch for five yards. His JV highlights show off an explosive, JV dominant tailback with homerun, can't-miss speed on tape. Britnell can burst and jet by pursuers at the first, second, and third level of the field like his opponents are stuck in the mud, and his jittery footwork in the open field, aided by his ability to go 0-60 in a blink, make him a lethal threat to score at any moment. Also a valuable asset as a pass catcher out of the backfield, twitchy in the open field, and if he gets the sideline it's over. In addition to skill talent out the wazoo, the Storm have to replace a beefy, high-level OL that included current Iowa Hawkeyes OT Owen Linder. One of the up-and-comers we're keeping an eye on in terms of filling an open spot is OC [player_tooltip player_id='1535496' first='Parker' last='Sund']. With big-time size as a sophomore, especially against non-varsity competition, Sund showed off impressive pop at the contact point, noticeable leg drive post-contact, and some get-up out of his stance, as well the mobility to pull and move across the LOS effectively. Good balance, knocked some DL onto their butts thanks to the lead in his hands, and he owns a balanced base in his pass set and does a good job of absorbing contact. Plus, the strength and size show up all over his highlight tape, and he's up to a reported 6'2, 315 lbs. going into his upperclassmen campaign with the Storm.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ParkerASund/status/1986133138184311103 </div></figure>     Robbinsdale Armstrong has some big-time talents coming up through the ranks going into 2026. PRZMN is keeping an especially close eye on a couple specific Falcons, namely [player_tooltip player_id='1254584' first='Jahsir' last='Pinney'], a 2028 multi-time PRZMN Showcase standout who also competes in track and field at Armstrong. Pinney also had a good showing at one of the Minnesota Gophers' prospect camp this summer, and his highlights on X show off a smooth, speedy ball carrier and tailback who jolts through tackle attempts without losing any noticeable momentum, and the speed carries him by slower defending with ease. He shows off big-time burst, quick, effective footwork in the open field that can take advantage of space, as well as create it, and he even showed off a mean truck stick that can lower the boom and put a defender flat on his butt. Pinney owns homerun speed against non-varsity competition and is especially dangerous once he finds and hits the sideline. Also plays and cuts with good angles, makes use of every inch of the field and can manipulate defenders in order to create advantageous angles to break through or step by tackle attempts. Fun combination of speed, quickness, power. A legit 6'1+ CB who popped off a 4.71 laser 40, 4.53 laser pro, and 8'4 broad jump at this past spring's PRZMN Spring Showcase, Hunter also posted a 23.67 200M PR during the 2026 outdoor T&F season and tallied 43 tackles, 3 INTs, 9 PBUs, 1 FF, 2 FR in 2025 in the non-varsity ranks for the Tornadoes.   His great man coverage skills at the PRZMN Spring Showcase show up in his sophomore highlights, as he can drop his hips and fire out of his breaks quickly for a taller, younger CB and his impressive start/stop ability and bend helps him easily mirror wideouts as they break, fake, and work through their route. He plays the ball well in the air, will stick his cleat in the ground, get downhill, and stick RBs out on the perimeter for clean 1v1 tackles, and is a thumper at the contact point on wideouts. Hunter also flashes an effective speed turn and noticeable burst and speed out of his breaks on the ball. The length, instincts, quickness, and overall range help him blanket wideouts in the first and second level of his defense especially. This kid has some serious potential and a high ceiling as a recruit, but the junior film is the first big step. Can't wait to watch Anoka in 2026!   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/kevtosturdy/status/2066493739279765719 </div></figure>     Rosemount alway seems to be home to some beef in the trenches, and although the Irish are replacing some studs from their 2026 class, rising prospects such as [player_tooltip player_id='1657389' first='Brody' last='Dusek'] are ready to make the starting spot their own. Dusek recorded a 350 front squat, 265 power clean, and the Rosemount High School sophomore record 320 lb. bench in June, and his sophomore highlights are impressive as well. Mostly competing in non-varsity action, Dusek does have varsity experience and highlights late in games when Rosemount was winning by a comfortable enough margin to put the 2s in, and against both varsity and JV competition, he displayed he can climb and work to the second level in controlled yet speedy fashion. He's a strong kid put more than his fair share of opponents on their butts in 2025, an effective puller with noticeable power upon impact, and he works to finish and has a good understanding of how to get an opponent off-balance and how to finish from there. He always works for an interior punch and hand placement, and knows how to use it effectively when he gets those meaty mitts on. Get to know this rising 6A road-grader now!   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Brody_Dusek62/status/2064755062698566103 </div></figure>     There's some room for carries behind [player_tooltip player_id='1075477' first='Edwin' last='Ekah'] in the Centennial Cougars offense and rushing attack, and a rising tailback we got our eyes on is [player_tooltip player_id='1848560' first='Jaxon' last='Lauzon']. A fullback in Centennial's triple-option rushing attack, Lauzon owns impressive burst that powers him past first and second level defenders with speed, good vision that sees and exploits the cutback well, and he does have the speed to finish runs for six once he finds the third level of the field. Lauzon is a smooth cutter who can create enough force when working laterally to power through arm tackles, demonstrates powerful, nonstop leg drive through contact, and good overall contact balance for his size and age. There's reps of him breaking 4, 5, even 6 tackle attempts in a single carry, not to mention burning past pursuers with exciting ease. PRZMN thinks Lauzon is going to be able to carry on his electric highlight production at the varsity level in 2026.     A very exciting up-and-comer in the Eden Prairie Eagles' ranks, Sam Roslansky was a two-way playmaker at both RB and LB in 2025. Mostly playing 10th grade/JV in 2025, Roslansky doubles as a good baseball player for the Eagles when he's not tearing it up as an off-ball LB and occasional tailback. He opens his tape with one of the best hits I saw of any 2028, smashing a STMA RB right at the goal line in a perfect hit that sent the kid sprawling backward and onto his butt. Roslansky triggers and closes on the ball with impressive pace, is a thumper who can sniff the ball out quickly and meet RBs behind or at the LOS, and has some impressive RB highlights to boot. The Eden Prairie product is a tailback with vision, lateral agility, quickness, and burst. He popped off a long, impressive TD run against Moorhead's JV, and PRZMN really likes his homerun speed, especially once he gets the sideline. Seth Leier's game tape against Mankato West, Northfield, Apple Valley shows a bully along the interior with heavy hands, solid leg drive/pad level for his size/age, and pass rushing juice as a DT. He forced a fumble on kickoff coverage, does a good job of disengaging from OL and sniffing out the rock behind the LOS, and demonstrates a good get-off that can beat OL with speed off the snap. Leier flashes eye-catching closing speed, especially for a defensive lineman, and split some doubles on his sophomore highlights in must-mention fashion as well.
