2028 Rankings Update: Central Valley Prospects Checking In

Sanchez is one of the top edge rushers in the central valley in his class and is coming off a outstanding sophomore campaign in 2025 and is a versatile player that rushes the passer well while also plays stout against the run. He can play up on the edge or as a outside linebacker and comes downhill quickly, has closing speed and tackles well in space while understanding how to play flat backside. Off the ball, he has violent hands and natural bend around the corner while showing he can redirect and quickly shock/shed off blockers with ease and is a high motor player that is always around the ball. He is in line for a monster Junior season and is a key name to note within the 2028 class across the central valley. Bridger is one of the better '28 defensive lineman in the central valley and picked up his first offer from Cal Poly earlier in the Spring. He is powerful and strong off the ball with a violent strike, immediately establishes inside hand placement and has line reset abilities while able to collapse the pocket consistently and has a few power rush moves in his toolbox. Bridger is a high IQ player that can pursue plays backside and take on pullers to set the edge and eats up blocks on the perimeter while able to kick inside and apply interior pressure as well. He offers good versatility up front and should see plenty other FCS+ offers come his way through this next off-season and into his senior year. Thomas is a long and physical receiver with a big catch radius and strong hands downfield that can create seperation and get open behind the defense. He is very explosive off the ball and can create downfield seperation and get off man coverage while showing a diverse route tree and does a good job at boxing out smaller defenders and high-pointing the ball at the POA. Thomas is a high IQ route runner that knows when to settle in zone coverage and quickly knifes upfield after the catch while tough to take down in open space with some good wiggle and lateral agility before bursting out in space. He enters our '28 ranks as one of the best in the state at his position and he should really see his stock rise in the coming months and have a breakout Junior season for another loaded Central team. Hartmann is one of the more under the radar guys in the central valley and has a nose for the football. He gets downhill quickly, tackles well in space and can knife into the backfield while able to bend and turn the corner. He shows good redirection and can make tackles outside the tackles and moves well sideline to sideline. He is a very high IQ player that can sniff out plays, shock and shed blockers in the box and moves well laterally while showing some cover abilities as well. Hartmann is one of the top '28 defenders in the central valley and should have a breakout junior season for Clovis and is a candidate to enter into our rankings off the watchlist in the next update.
