He has the size (6'2") and athleticism you want from a wide receiver. Last season, playing on Junior Varsity, he flashed some good skills. He has good hands, and he catches the ball in traffic. Playing at 7-on-7 tournaments this summer, Esperance showed good skills. He has good body control when he catches the ball. He also played defensive back, and he showed good coverage skills. Standing 6'3" tall with good athleticism, DeMarco displayed a good ability to play quarterback last season. He has good mechanics and footwork as a quarterback. He especially throws well on the run. On specific sprint-out pass plays, he showed a good ability to throw the ball. When he had to run, he also showed a good ability. He also has the versatility to play both positions. He is a good athlete who moves well. He has good quickness and burst you want from an athlete. He is excellent at making defenders miss. As a slot receiver, he catches the ball in traffic between defenders. Downey is a talented player in the 2029 class. As a defensive lineman, he is excellent at firing off the ball. His ability to get off the ball and use his hands is good for a younger prospect. He also shows a motor that never quits as he chases all plays all over the field. Then, as an offensive tackle, he shows a good ability to fire off the ball.
