Commitment season is upon us as 2027 prospects make the camp rounds and embark on their official visits. Plenty of action has taken place in the State of Missouri since the end of Spring Evaluation Period. Here's an update on players making moves.

*** Use code StopPRZ30 at checkout to crank 30% off your subscription to Prep Redzone ***

[player_tooltip player_id='1325176' first='Evan' last='Via'] | 2027 CB | Ladue Horton Watkins (MO)

Set to be a top 10 player in the State of Missouri and top ranked corner prospect when the new 2027 rankings get released, [player_tooltip player_id='1325176' first='Evan' last='Via'] pulled the trigger to Stanford last week over 25 additional offers, and two days after getting the offer from Notre Dame, and a week after taking his official visit to in-state Mizzou. Big time pickup for the Cardinal.

https://twitter.com/EvanVia2/status/2065131096900022469

[player_tooltip player_id='1452148' first='Kingston' last='Miles'] | 2027 RB | St. Mary's (MO)

Miles is one of the top prospects in the Show Me State and a bonafide touchdown scorer. With a great combination of size, speed and explosiveness, Miles plays at a different level than anyone else on the field. He has great feet at the line of scrimmage, can Houdini himself through small seams, and in the open he is no nonsense taking the ball north in a hurry and finishing with the house gear. In April, Miles announced a top 7 of Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, Kentucky, Southern Cal, Kansas State, and Auburn - who he pulled the trigger to on the first of the month.

https://twitter.com/kingstonnnnn3x/status/2043767505609486346

[player_tooltip player_id='1260477' first='Kobe' last='Rhymes'] | 2027 LB | North Kansas City (MO)

The other prospect to declare a home on the first of June was the big backer from NKC. The offer train seemed to slow down through the course of spring, but that didn't seem to matter as Rhymes is staying in state and headed to The Zou over 20+ offers from every power conference. Rhymes is a physical player that plays an intelligent brand of football and is the in-state Tigers lone commit this month.

https://twitter.com/KobeRhymes/status/2061634721981833409

[player_tooltip player_id='1590220' first='Josh' last='McCarthy'] | 2027 LB | Farmington (MO)

Iowa State took a pair of pledges out of the Show Me State in the month of June so far, starting with the versatile athlete out of Farmington. Out of his 11 Division I offers, the Cyclones were the only one from a power conference, and McCarthy saw enough to not wait any longer and issue his commitment. His other offers included the service academies and top FCS level programs. McCarthy, who plays WR and LB at an estimated 6010 217 and carries a 4.19 GPA, will focus on his development as a linebacker at the next level.

https://twitter.com/joshmccarthy_40/status/2062885089969594571

[player_tooltip player_id='2049977' first='Jaxen' last='Proden'] | 2027 WR | Liberty North (MO)

The other pull for Iowa State out of the State of Missouri this month was the long and fluid retriever out of Liberty North. Proden was flying fairly under the radar this recruiting cycle, holding a handful of offers from programs playing at lower divisions despite good measurables and decent production coming out of his junior season. He possesses natural receiver tools and was only a matter of time before one of the big boys came calling. The Cyclones did just that on June 5th, and Proden committed four days later.

https://twitter.com/Jaxenproden1/status/2064472030263587013

[player_tooltip player_id='2048703' first='Kevin' last='Gilyard, Jr.'] | 2027 OL | Cardinal Ritter (MO)

Gilyard is another well under-recruited prospect that decided to pull the trigger this month to one of his five Division I offers. Western Kentucky is getting a big bodied lineman with size and length in his lowers and violence in his hands. Gilyard can get out and move in space and is a road grader in the run game. For Cardinal Ritter, he plays tackle, but the longer he plays the more likely it is for a move inside to guard which will fit his style of play quite naturally.

https://twitter.com/kevgilyardupnxt/status/2064018694510956621

[player_tooltip player_id='813880' first='Jameson' last='Honey'] | 2027 iDL | Lindbergh (MO)

What Northern Illinois got a commitment from a week ago is arguably the top interior defensive lineman in the State of Missouri. Honey is a fun player to watch. He is a high motor, explosive off the ball, physical player that chases the ball in pursuit and plays very well with his hands. He has nice athletic measurables highlighted by a 27 inch vertical, 9'2 broad jump and 4.78 pro shuttle. His highly productive 2025 consisted of 65 tackles, 12 sacks, 20 for loss and 4 blocked kicks. Honey pulled the trigger to NIU over six other FBS/FCS offers including a power conference offer from Northwestern.

https://twitter.com/JamesonHoney_52/status/2064786567122555062

[player_tooltip player_id='719984' first='Justyn' last='Lindsay'] | 2027 WR | Blue Springs (MO)

Nebraska was busy in Missouri this week, first scoring a commitment from the long receiver and track star out of Blue Springs. Lindsay ran a 21.8 split first leg for the state qualifying 4x2 relay team that set the school record en route to finishing just off the podium in the championships, his first time competing in the 4x2 event. The Huskers were the first to offer Lindsay a year ago and were one of two Big Ten offers amongst his handful of Division I suitors.

https://twitter.com/justynlindsay27/status/2065900932701798680

[player_tooltip player_id='408969' first='Caleb' last='Green'] | 2027 LB | Lee's Summit North (MO)

It was Merry Flipmas over the weekend for Nebraska, as they scored their second commitment in as many days out of the State of Missouri flipping Green from the home state Tigers whom he'd been committed to for a month and a half. The Huskers became the fourth power conference offer for Green on June 7th, and he promptly issued his commitment a week later. Green calls himself a "hunter" which is a quite accurate descriptor. At 6000 209, Green runs a 4.66x40, 4.23 pro shuttle, a near 10'0 broad and near 31 inch vertical. His twitch, speed and physicality at the point of contact resulted in a highly productive 2025 consisting of 145 tackles and 14 for loss. Green was recently named LB MVP of the Under Armour Next Camp Series in St. Louis.

https://twitter.com/Caleb_Green18/status/2066176767807672776

[player_tooltip player_id='1160667' first='Malahn' last='Green'] | 2027 WR | Cardinal Ritter (MO)

Last weekend had Boomer Sooner vibes for the dynamic Cardinal Ritter receiver. Green is another highly under-recruited prospect with only six offers. He displayed verified raw speed and explosiveness in the camp setting in 2025 having recorded a 4.50x40 and 33 vertical coming out of his sophomore season. Green is tough to contain and is very good in one on one situations. He shows great body control adjusting to errant balls, can make defenders miss in space, navigates traffic and flashes exceptional hands away from his frame. Oklahoma found this out first hand in their own camp setting and offered on the 9th. Five days later, Green pulled the trigger.

https://twitter.com/Malahnnn/status/2066161775985262633

[player_tooltip player_id='1556818' first='Caden' last='Ford'] | 2027 OT | Timberland (MO)

Ford was observed live on the hoof at the Lindenwood Mega Camp earlier this month and he certainly looked the part of a Division I offensive tackle. He has a long frame, quick hands and feet, can move in space, runs well and competes with great effort. He measured in at 6070 294 and battled hard in the one on one portion, prompting conversations from Division I programs post camp. Ford is a great developmental prospect that attracted over 10 Division I offers this spring from FBS and FCS programs.

https://twitter.com/CadenFord_/status/2066718381059833988

[player_tooltip player_id='1726900' first='Andrew' last='Oldham'] | 2027 DE | Marquette (MO)

The most recent commitment in the Show Me State is the big 6050 238 defensive end/edge rusher from Marquette. We got the opportunity to catch Oldham on the hoof at Lindenwood, and the size is verified as advertised. Oldham showed out well and pulled in some Division I offers after the camp. Last night, the big long pass rusher elected to pull the trigger to Missouri State where he will be a two sport athlete playing football and baseball. Oldham has a high ceiling with a great combination of size and athletic ability. Big get for the Bears who are getting a high motor player that bends well, triggers deliberately, and covers lots of ground chasing the ball.

https://twitter.com/AndrewOldham27/status/2067324656558698708

*** Use code StopPRZ30 at checkout to crank 30% off your subscription to Prep Redzone ***
