Trench Talk Thursday: 5 Rising Kentucky 2028 OL

We're heading to the trenches today to highlight a group of talented and rising offensive linemen who could continue rising boards this fall.    Fox has a true tackle frame with elite length and the physical traits coaches look for on the offensive line. He has a powerful core and can dominate at the point of attack, especially in the run game where he can use his leverage to finish blocks. The length allows him to control reps early, and he plays with the strength to sustain them. The potential is obvious when you watch him, and he's already building a strong foundation. By the time he graduates, he's going to have a ton of reps under his belt, which should only accelerate his development.     Kiser is a talented interior lineman who has already put together multiple years as a starter. He does a good job getting off the ball quickly once he snaps it. He's fairly nimble for the position and moves well when asked to get out in space or work laterally. You can tell he's comfortable operating in the middle of the line and understands the position. The experience jumps out when watching him play, and he strikes me as someone who continues to develop throughout his HS career.     Goins has developed his frame quite a bit over the past year or so, going from around 6'0", 255 pounds to 6'2", 290 pounds. The physical growth is noticeable, but so is the confidence that has come with it. He plays with some swagger and looks much more comfortable on the field than he did a year ago. You could see him start to flourish last season as things began to click. The jump he's made physically has opened up a lot for him, and it feels like he's just scratching the surface of what he can become. I wouldn't be surprised if his recruitment continues to pick up steam over the next year.     Begley is a good center who plays with a quick first step and moves well for an interior lineman. He has the speed to get downfield and become a lead blocker, which opens up a lot in the run game. His hand placement is solid, and he does a good job driving defenders backward once he gets engaged. He also holds up well against power and can handle a bull rush from defensive tackles without getting walked back into the pocket. Centers who can move, anchor, and play with good technique are hard to find, and Begley checks a lot of those boxes.     Branson is an upcoming tackle who has a lot of good traits and potential. He's got a good, lengthy frame and a strong core. He's fairly quick for a tackle and can get out front to be the lead blocker, move laterally, and does a good job with blitzers. He can track them through traffic and meet them head-on. He's not afraid to initiate contact and will play through the whistle. He helped secure the right side last year and should be set for another big year on the outside.
