He is a big bodied pass catcher with a huge catch radius, strong hands and can bully smaller defenders in the red-zone and is a mismatch nightmare downfield. He shows he can quickly get in and out of his breaks, tracks the ball well over the top and has 50/50 ball skills while also showing some open field speed and is very physical with the ball in his hands. He plays with heavy hands, snaps out of his stance and can quickly reset the LOS, shock and shed off blocks and is effective anywhere along the defensive front but should kick inside at the next level. Day is a high motor kid that can collapse the pocket, bend around the corner and wins with converting speed to power consistently off the edge. He can sustain blocks downfield, plays with good leverage and inside hands with finish abilities downfield and nasty intentions. He shows he can combo to the second level, pull across the LOS to the scraping linebackers and is a good athlete for the position with no bad weight. He has had a busy summer so far and recently picked up his first offer from San Diego after attending their camp and should see some other FCS schools come in and offer through his senior year. He shows he can block inside, pull and kick out when needed and gets to the second level quickly with a violent punch and leg drive through his block progressions. He does a good job using his leverage to get underneath defenders and plays with violent intentions in pass protection as well.
