The UA Next Camp in Chicago was a great opportunity to evaluate some of the top prospects in the Midwest with our focus particularly on Illinois. We were able to see the lineman go through an array of drills and one on ones. Here I examine what caught our attention from the offensive lineman at the camp!

[player_tooltip player_id='2104955' first='Chase' last='Clark'] (Mt. Carmel - 2027)

Clark is among the better offensive lineman still on the board. He was impressive with his bend and movement skills in drill work. Played at both tackle and guard in one on ones. At tackle he did a nice job of pushing his man upfield when they wanted to use speed against him. Quick laterally anchoring and sets well. Anchors vs bull rush. Great hand placement. Look particularly good against interior lineman at guard where his highest value probably is.

Cornelius Moore (King - 2027)

Moore was without a doubt one of the breakout players of the camp for me. He won every single one on one rep we saw him take. Engulfs pass rushers with his size and length at 6'6” 330 pounds. Anchors very well vs bull rush and is actually light on his feet for his size. Plays with a nasty streak. Powerful with hands getting rushers on the ground. Quick movements. Overall dominant in one on ones!

[player_tooltip player_id='472668' first='Josiah' last='Wallace'] (Glenbard West - 2027)

The Northwestern commit has the frame, strength, and length that you look for in a Big 10 offensive tackle. Crisp footwork throughout the drill work. Excellent lateral movement skills mirroring defensive lineman on rushes. Used his length well vs speed and other moves to keep defenders away.

[player_tooltip player_id='1087387' first='Wyatt' last='VanBoening'] (Carmel - 2028)

Another massive offensive tackle at 6'7” 285 pounds who is light on his feet for his size. Quick shuffle laterally. Love the frame and length he possesses. Uses his length well vs spin moves. Overall his length and lateral quickness make him super intriguing as a tackle long term!

[player_tooltip player_id='1621319' first='Brock' last='Thompson'] (Loyola - 2028)

Loyola 6'3” 305 pound offensive lineman can play tackle or guard, but might project best at tackle. Thick frame and wide base with solid overall footwork moving well laterally in a phone booth. Moves feet vs spin moves and has the strength to hold up against bull rush.

[player_tooltip player_id='1629961' first='Kajus' last='Muralis'] (Waubonsie Valley - 2028)

The Waubonsie Valley 2028 offensive tackle measured in at 6'7” 247 pounds clocking in a 1.94 10 yard split in his forty. Well cut offensive lineman with excellent length and athleticism. Has a lot of tools you look for with the way he moves and his movement skills to develop over the next year continuing to add more strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140278' first='Liam' last='Pagan'] (Willowbrook - 2028)

The Willowbrook 2028 offensive lineman checked in at 6'4” 295 pounds with a 2.04 10 yard split. Pagan plays with a wide base, is light on his feet, and was technically sound with everything he did during drill work. Might project best playing guard at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2169239' first='Florians' last='Naglins'] (Glenbrook North - 2028)

The Glenbrook North 6'7” 305 pound offensive tackle has a 7'1” wingspan. Tall, long, and big offensive tackle. Great strength and can push his man up field. Will need to continuing improving footwork to keep up with speed rushers. Definitely a name worth monitoring as a junior!

[player_tooltip player_id='1289319' first='Stephen' last='Caxton-Idowu'] (Sandburg - 2028)

The 6'5” 305 pound offensive lineman out of Sandburg is a big boy that has a wide base. Right now probably projects best as a beast guard with his athleticism and strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060615' first='Joshua' last='Larsen'] (Hope - 2028)

The 6'6” 335 pound offensive lineman has a wide base and plays with a ton of strength. Gets hands on interior defensive lineman and then pretty much ends it when lining up at guard. Has tools to definitely play tackle long term with his movement and footwork.
