Tennessee high school football is loaded with talent heading into the 2026 season, and the Class 3A group is packed with standout offensive playmakers. As spring ball wraps up across the state, several guys are emerging as top prospects to watch in Tennessee high school football recruiting.

In this scouting series breaking down the top football players by position and TSSAA classification, here's an in-depth look at the top five Class 3A receivers in Tennessee entering the 2026 high school football season.

Photo: Giles County WR [player_tooltip player_id='1662941' first='Damari' last='Allen'] during a game.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1662941' first='Damari' last='Allen'] – Giles County High School

Giles County's [player_tooltip player_id='1662941' first='Damari' last='Allen'] caught my eye early last season and continued to play well as a sophomore. He took the next step in becoming one of the best at his position in Tennessee, catching 41 passes for 868 yards (21.2 YPC) and eight scores in 12 games. He has many nice traits and good size that make him a prime candidate to be one of the recruiting risers heading into this upcoming season.

He possesses good size for his position, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 175 pounds in a lean, athletic frame that allows him to maintain his mobility. Allen is considered an outside guy, but he has the athleticism and ball skills to be utilized all over the field. Giles County gets him involved on screens, short stuff, intermediate routes and passes outside the hashes where his size can take over.

The rising junior is a fluid mover with shifty feet and good route-running, making him a mismatch for defenders. He's too big for a lot of defensive backs at this level, but is too quick for linebackers to keep up with him in open space. Allen needs to polish up in a few areas, but he has a lot of upside at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1881268' first='Jadarius' last='Hinton'] (Pic by: Caleb Sisk/@CalebSisk_

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1881268' first='Jadarius' last='Hinton'] – Tyner Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='1881268' first='Jadarius' last='Hinton'] announced earlier this year that he would be transferring to Tyner Academy from Ridgeland High School in Georgia. He missed part of last season but is a talented player primed to make a big impact on this state championship-hopeful program. Despite flying under the radar as a player and a recruit, he's a name to know as he heads into his senior season.

He offers good size, standing 6-foot and weighing 190 pounds, with a strong, athletic frame that allows him to be utilized everywhere. Hinton is an absolute weapon in the short and intermediate game because of his speed, elusiveness, burst and quick instincts. Ridgeland used him on a lot of screen plays last season, as he excels at weaving through traffic and finding lanes to run. Despite having a limited route tree there, he moves well downfield and has good hands.

Hinton will be that do-it-all guy in a Tyner offense that has several high-level skill players. I like his potential, but would like to see him develop a deeper route tree and polish up in a few areas throughout his final offseason of high school football.

Photo: Whites Creek WR [player_tooltip player_id='1687542' first='De'Aries' last='Holland'] during a game. Photo from his Instagram.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1687542' first='De'Aries' last='Holland'] – Whites Creek High School

De'Aries “Curly” Holland is one of the more intriguing wide receiver prospects in Tennessee and is coming off a big season for Whites Creek High School. He's a versatile player, seeing time all over the field, racking up 1,638 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns. He showed significant improvement in his sophomore campaign, leading to him being ranked as a high three-star recruit and the No. 7 in-state receiver for the class of 2028.

He's a smaller guy, standing 5-foot-10, but possesses a nice, lean frame that allows him to be a fluid mover all over the field. Holland is that Swiss Army knife, if you will, being utilized on the outside and inside, on screens, in jet sweeps and down the field. The rising junior wideout is very athletic, with the ability to turn any play into a house call with his speed and acceleration. He is a crisp route runner who creates separation, always keeps his eye on the football and high-points passes well. I like his upside and see him as a Power Four talent who can and should become a household name in this upcoming season.

https://twitter.com/dee5ive05/status/2015806766550770170?s=20

2028 Dion Edwards – Tyner Academy

Dion Edwards is a blue-chip defensive back prospect, but he also excels as a wide receiver for Tyner. This past season, he caught 50 passes for a team-high 812 yards and six scores in 11 games played. He's a great athlete who is better suited in the secondary for the collegiate level, but will once again play a key role as a high school pass catcher.

He possesses good size for his age, standing 6-foot and weighing 170 pounds, with a long frame that gives him a natural advantage on both sides of the ball, especially at wide receiver. Edwards is a fluid mover with nice footwork, quickness in open space, nice burst and high football IQ. He can be used all over the gridiron, but is dangerous down the field. The 2028 prospect is a clean route runner with a high motor who plays extremely hard between the white lines.

Photo: Westview DB [player_tooltip player_id='1422977' first='Miles' last='Brown'] at practice. Photo from his X/Twitter.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1422977' first='Miles' last='Brown'] – Westview High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1422977' first='Miles' last='Brown'] is another blue-chip defensive back prospect who recently committed to Kentucky, but was a big receiving threat for Westview last season. In a loaded offense with several talented skill players, he caught 49 passes for 812 yards and 13 touchdowns, including an impressive performance in the 2025 Class 3A State Championship game. He will soon be one of the top defensive players in college football, but Brown is an underrated playmaker on offense.

He possesses good size, standing 6-foot and weighing 190 pounds, in a strong frame that allows him to be physical on the gridiron. The rising senior is extremely athletic, is a fluid mover, has nice technique, good hands and swift route-running. He does damage all over the field for one of the state's top programs. With two key receivers graduating, he could be a 1,000-yard wideout in 2026.

Tennessee high school football is loaded with talent heading into the 2026 season, and the Class 3A group is packed with standout offensive playmakers. As spring ball wraps up across the state, several guys are emerging as top prospects to watch in Tennessee high school football recruiting.
