2027 Kentucky Trenches: Offensive Line Edition

He moves laterally with little trouble and shows the ability to hold up against both the run and the pass. He does a nice job of setting his feet and staying balanced through contact. He also shows a strong core and heavy hands, which help him create lanes in the run game and keep the quarterback upright in pass protection. He plays with low pad level and generates significant force at the point of attack, especially in the run game, where he can take over reps and create movement. He also plays with an edge and brings a physical mentality to every snap. His strength and toughness stand out on film, and it's easy to see why he earned All-State honors. He has a quick first step off the ball and shows solid hand placement once engaged. He also does a nice job snapping the ball and getting his head up quickly to locate defenders and react. For a center, he's fairly nimble and moves well in space, which helps in both the run game and protection schemes. He does a nice job keeping defenders in front of him and staying under control through the rep. In the run game, he can win at the point of attack and plays with a good base that helps him hold ground and generate movement. He also brings a good motor and competes through the whistle. He plays with good pad level and doesn't rise too high out of his stance, which allows him to stay balanced and generate power at the point of attack. He's a good run blocker who keeps his feet moving and works through contact instead of stopping on engagement. He also plays with noticeable aggression and looks comfortable doing the dirty work in the interior.
