Smoky Mountain Summit 7v7 14U Champions: Savages

14U teams competed for their ticket to the PRZ 7v7 National Championship next weekend, but only one brought home the Smoky Mountain Summit championship in Gatlinburg, TN! Congrats to Savages 7v7 14U out of Tennessee on their title run on Championship Sunday, in large part due to these 5 top performers from this weekend!

https://twitter.com/The304Scout/status/2046317902559854833

2030 Savages WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='2164985' first='Camden' last='Holt'] set the tone when it mattered most, putting together a standout performance on Championship Sunday. One of the most dynamic playmakers in the 14U group, he consistently created separation with sharp, polished routes and sudden movement that kept defenders on edge. When the ball came his way, Holt delivered, showing natural hands and the ability to finish plays in key moments. As the stage got bigger, so did his impact, catching fire and helping carry the Savages to a well-earned title.

2030 Savages WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='2145695' first='Kyler' last='Harper'] made his mark on both sides of the ball and made a large impact each way. Harper was electric at receiver, using his twitch and burst to create explosive plays and keep the offense moving, then flipped over and locked things down in the secondary. There's a natural feel to the way Harper moves, explosive in short areas and confident in everything he does, which showed up throughout Championship Sunday. When the stakes rose, Harper answered, proving he's not just versatile but a true difference-maker with real upside at multiple spots as a young prospect.

2031 Savages QB [player_tooltip player_id='2175919' first='Jack' last='Norman'] was the steady hand that kept everything on track during their championship run. Norman played with a calm presence beyond his years, making smart decisions and taking care of the football in big moments. He consistently put the ball in the right spot, keeping it away from defenders and allowing his playmakers to work. Norman didn't try to do too much, just executed, stayed accurate, and kept the offense moving. That kind of poise and control is what you want from your young quarterback leading the way on a title team.

2029 Savages WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1974340' first='Zion' last='Johnson'] brought a different dimension to the team with his length and athleticism, impacting the game on both sides of the ball. Johnson was a problem in 1-on-1 situations, using his frame and leaping ability to go up and win at the catch point, especially on fades and go balls. It felt like anything in his area was his, and he made it tough on defenders trying to contest. On defense, Johnson made his presence felt as well, using that same length and speed to disrupt and challenge receivers. With his range and ball skills, Johnson turned into a matchup headache all day during their championship run.

2030 Savages RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='2147002' first='Trent' last='DeSaulniers'] was a steady presence and did all the little things that helped his offense click. DeSaulniers was a dependable outlet for his quarterback, working underneath with purpose and giving him a safe, easy option if the defense allowed. He handled the dirty work in the short game, settling into space over the middle and flaring out to keep defenses honest within five yards. Even when the ball didn't come his way, DeSaulniers was doing his job, drawing attention and creating room for others to show out. That kind of reliability doesn't always show up in the stat sheet, but it was a big part of why Savages found championship success this weekend.
